This is a nice hotel when you consider the cost. It has indoor parking, a rooftop swimming pool in great condition and most rooms have a balcony. Rooms are basic. Wooden furniture has seen better days. Daily housekeeping keeps the room nice and clean with fresh towels and sheets. Hotel restaurant bar does room service or eat in dining room. Very little english spoken here....but hey you should learn Spanish! Lol
The Hotel is super basic. but Hot work is good Pressure is good towels are clean bed is OK breakfast is on the poor side but ok for the price $included. as for Restaurant go else where... there are plenty places with in walking distance to eat well. I will stay there Again room 305 has a great view.
We are staying for five nights (2 left to go) and on our return will not come back here. Although this hotel is affordable - a decent breakfast including juice is included - that’s where it ends. If you decide to take the plunge make sure you bring your own towel. Sometimes they leave one towel but on a good day we got one each. Luckily I packed one. The tv is old but that’s ok and if you hold the batteries in you can even change channels. No glasses. No ice unless you go to the restaurant and ask for some. There are two lamps in the room but only one electrical outlet. Glad that besides my towel I packed a headlamp too! The restaurant is such a pleasure. The servers are REALLY slow. Especially to us gringos we saw several people walk out as they waited so long when there was an abundance of staff to serve them. Our server was stoic and surly talking to us in a barely understandable mumble. Never cracked a smile or exchanged our friendly amenities. This malady seemed to affect every server there. Also make sure you have on offline translator such as google because no one speaks English and I question how much is understood as well. Wifi is VERY slow. A bit better in the lobby and restaurant. We would often go downstairs to download a map or similar. …
Looks completely different to photos. Old furniture, uncomfortable bed and pillows, shabby decor and peeling ceiling. There was a lot of noise each night from people answering phones, the elevator dinging, what sounded like the staff cleaning the corridors. Breakfast was free and fine. For the price per night there are better choices in Panama City.
The young lady working at the front desk when we checked in the afternoon of Tuesday, August 22nd seemed very blasé and indifferent towards us. She seemed put out when I asked to charge the room to my credit card. This was our first impression of the hotel and it gets worse. I sent my husband down later to ask for extra pillows as he has a bad back and needs them for support. the same young lady and the bell boy were laughing at my husband's attempt to convey his request in Spanish about getting extra pillows. They were not laughing with him, but at him. My husband did receive the pillows from the bell boy a little later, but was uncertain if they understood as they were giggling and laughing as he walked away. He felt ridiculed and in general we didn't feel good about our interactions with them. There was a different young lady working when we checked out in the morning of the 23rd, and she was very pleasant and helpful. I have travelled alot and this is the first time we've ever experienced this kind of treatment. The hotel itself is clean and basic, needs updating for sure, but for this price, you can't really complain. The elevator buttons are confusing. We were uncertain which led up to the pool and which was the lobby. We enjoyed the free breakfast which offered 3 choices with fruits, coffee and juice. The location was good, room was clean and basic. There are many restaurants to choose from on the same street the hotel is located on. The pool on the rooftop is basic, but a refreshing option in the city heat. The photos on-line are accurate.…
