What a beautiful property! We felt spoiled and so sad we couldn’t stay longer. Jose was extremely gracious, helping to carry our bags and spending time to tell us all about the area. The entire place is first class, right in the heart of Casco Viejo…fun!

Wonderful stay! Suites are so spacious and location is great for walking to nearby restaurants. Staff was superb and always helpful. We were in the 2 bedroom suites and Casco Viejo was so lively, it was enjoyable to see lots of people enjoying all the nightlife. What a gem! We will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay while in Casco Antiguo! The place is in a great location and you are surrounded by great eateries, cultural places of interest and rooftop bars. The manager, Andres, is certain to please regardless of your questions. The suite is wonderful. The bedrooms are great. The suite is so clean and well maintained. And the price is right!

I stayed in 102, one of the executive suites a few blocks from the main property. PROS - Good communication before and during the stay (WhatsApp/email) - Large living room, large deck - Reliable WiFi - Location, location, location. I've stayed in other parts of the city, and Casco Viejo is the most charming and convenient neighborhood. (Although one night at Canopy Tower was fun.) - During the day, the sounds from the square (birds calling, music, etc.) were pleasing - There were some nice touches with the decor: a Noguchi table and Midcentury chairs, moulding, decorative tiles - Good water pressure, hot water - Fresh air from large windows that open to the balcony - Quiet refrigerator, complimentary water and coffee (although I went to Casa Sucre Coffeehouse both mornings) - Room was dark at night; clean room - I was able to arrange check out in my room so that I wouldn't have to drag my luggage to the lobby CONS - The three-block walk is tough on luggage wheels - The lobby to the building is pretty drab - There's a speaker attached directly below the bedroom window. The (pounding) music on Saturday night was annoying loud (too loud to sleep). Fortunately it stopped at 11:30 - Loud AC - There's a step up to the toilet, which is a little dangerous when it's dark - Uncomfortable pillows and bed. Poor bedding

This was our first time to Panama and wanted to experience the culture. We booked with La Isabella Suites and our stay was wonderful. The apt was beautiful and appreciated the quiet room after a very long plane ride to Panama City. There are many restaurants and coffee shops. Close by is the Panama Canal Museum, a must see. We rented a car, although challenging navigating in the district with narrow streets, the staff was more than helpful to assist with parking in the garage. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel.

I can not say enough about La Isabella Suites. First of all I want to recognize Andres Jacome, General Manager, he was so informative and available to help even before we arrived. While we were there him and his staff were great. Always there to get the door for us, make sure we were comfortable, and had a good day/evening. The suite we had, #1, was so spacious. A balcony facing a busy street into Casco Viejo, which was great to sit and people watch in the evening. There is a nice sized sitting area, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms, and a very beautiful shared garden area with lots of seating. I want to mention that even though there is a busy street down below, once the double doors to the balcony are closed the traffic can't be heard, plus the bedrooms are situated in the back of the suite. The location of this property couldn't have been better, restaurants, shapping, drinks, wine bar, and brewery all around the corner or a couple of block away. If we would ever go back to Panama City, we would without a doubt or second thought stay at La Isabella Suites.

Loved the property - very large, larger than we needed, but we wanted to ensure a quieter location that it seemed so many people complained about other hotel's loud music location with their restaurants. This place was perfect and nice music, quiet and walkable to everything - including the walk around the bay. It is right near the President's home. Loved that the A/C was powerful! The private balcony above the square was perfect after a day of sightseeing to sit out and listen to the music, or sit early in the morning. Full kitchen also, if you were there for a longner stay. Nice, safe, clean area. The customer service of the hotel was top notch. It's not cheap, but it is worth it. Not sure what the hotel rooms run, less I think, I am only speaking to the private two floor suite that is a few blocks away.

This was our second stay at La Isabela Suites and it also was exceptional! We stayed in the mirror unit of the one where we stayed in 2020 and, again, we thoroughly enjoyed the layout, large rooms, décor, coffee setup, full kitchen, robust Wi-Fi and the interior courtyard. It is very quiet at night and safe. It is walking distance to historic buildings, the fish market, groceries, shopping and many tasty restaurants. The General Manager Andres Jacome and his staff made sure that our every need was met and that we had all the information that we needed to maximize our limited time in Casco Antiguo. Their map with local favorite diners was easy to follow and all recommendations were terrific. (Tantalo became a favorite for both breakfast and dinner on the rooftop with amazing views!) We loved walking around the area, it is incredibly safe and charming. There are so many picturesque sites. Andres made everything easy for us by arranging for a car to pick us up from the airport and another to take us back to the airport. (Last time he arranged tours for us, but we didn't have time on this visit.) The apartment and location are quite romantic, but it is spacious and well-equipped for a family visit.

La Isabella is a real find in Casco Viejo. Apartment hotel, very quiet, very comfortable with a great staff. Our room had access to a lovely interior courtyard. Walking distance to all attractions, historic churches. Lots of restaurants to choose from in area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Columbia which is run by La Isabela Suites. The hotel is situated in a historic building overlooking an attractive tree lined square close to the Presidential residence in Casio Viejo where we stayed in a one bedroom suite on the first floor. Our rooms were cool and attractive and thoughtfully provisioned to ensure a very comfortable stay. We particularly appreciated the generous supply of teabags and coffee and range of wine glasses and loved sitting on the spacious balcony watching the square. The hotel is situated beside a bar and the staff were anxious to point out that it could be noisy but on a Tuesday night the area was delightfully peaceful and we had no regrets about our choice. It would be very unfair to leave this review without commenting on the hotel staff who were all utterly delightful and incredibly helpful and friendly and thankfully for us they spoke excellent English. We took their advice about an excellent local restaurant and breakfast cafe and their input definitely enhanced our visit to Panama City.
