My husband & I recently visited this resort & all was great there. We got to do just what we set out to do which was enjoy mother nature & have nothing but time with each other. We got away from all the hustle & bustle life can throw at you. The fishing was GREAT!!! the staff were very friendly...

My wife and I had a great time. They were really nice. I don't know why these people think they were so mean. It was a great value and the staff was very nice. If they had rude staff before, they must of fired them.

My wife and I found Bass Haven Resort quite by accident. We were on a mission to head out of the cold Iowa winter and find some fun, sun, and relaxation somewhere south! We thought first about going to New Orleans then found out that Mardi Gras was getting ready to start. ( Too many folks for us) We saw...

The add on the internet was great, but in person it's horrible. 95% of the place is the dirt/sand and ruts everywhere. The beds are horrible, the tv didn't work. The boat launch is horrible.

So bad, I don't know where to begin. It was a last minute trip and we booked this before we saw the reviews. I looked at reviews after booking and hoped it wasn't as bad as what people said. Well, it's worse! There are run-down trailers and "camps" jammed in every corner. Website advertises: cable/wifi/restaurant/grocery store and has really nice...

It is NOT a resort! Glorified fish camp. Great location, ok boat launch; the whole place is in disrepair. We rented one bedroom cabin for $95 per nite. Floor was full of sand, bathroom dirty with towels that had more holes than cloth! TV had no sound. Maintenance brought another the second nite, no sound, so they shrugged shoulders walked...

We stayed at Bass Haven resort for 3 nights and it wasn't as horrible as people have been reviewing. Yes the towels were in very short supply, but there was plenty of soap and toilet paper (no shampoo). Yes the sheets had orange stains on them, but we just put our own sheets on top. The air conditioner was horrible....

If you are really into fishing and just don't care about anything else, then you might consider staying here. No boats as advertised, no working cable for TV, nothing clean, nothing stocked, nothing desirable and no help anywhere unless you are offering exhorbitant amounts of money for the biggest dump you have laid eyes on in your life. Just don't...

This place may look nice when you pull it up on the internet, but it is not one bit. No microwave in cabins, no light at boat slips, wharf was tied together with a rope cause it was broken. There is cables, and tin laying around everywhere. I was so glad I didn't bring my kids cause I would have...

This place leaves alot to be desired unless your a drug head or alcholic. This surley is NOT a place for families to go. If you can find the OWNER he smells of pot and is always stoned not to mention how rude he is. Customer service HAA they don't even know the meaning of these words. I would not...
