The staff was very accommodating. The room we stayed in was newly renovated. Great location to Bates College and the shops. We enjoyed having a separate sitting area to watch tv in the evening. The kitchen and walk in showers were great too. They are in the middle of renovations so we were lucky to get a new room.

On the plus side, the breakfast was really good, with lots of choices. On the negative side, our suite appeared to need a "spring cleaning". The floor of the shower was dingy, the hook on the back of the bathroom door was loose so nothing would hang on it, doors were scuffed and dirty, a wall and the ceiling had... More

This was our first time staying at this hotel and in this area. Hotel was clean, staff was great and rooms were comfortable. Location was great. Lots of stores & restaurants nearby. If I'm ever back in the area I would definitely stay here again.

Welcome desk staff was very friendly, and promptly explained that I had been upgraded to a two room suite. The room was very large and spacious, but I was staying alone, so the second room was rather unnecessary. Overall the stay was good - the bed was more firm than my liking, but not bad for a one night stay.... More

Dear JamGolf3, I'm glad we were able to upgrade you to one of our two bedroom suites. I agree that Portland has more options for dining and things to do, they are a much larger city than us. We are however centrally located to both Portland and Augusta and not to far from Sunday River ski resort. Best regards More

I've stayed at a lot of Marriott properties (platinum member). This was easily my favorite stay. Got upgraded to the 2 room suite, which was super nice, 2 full bedrooms and a pullout couch (travelling with family). Pool area was big, water was perfect, hot tub was big and HOT. Breakfast was best breakfast I've ever had at a Marriott.... More

My hotel of choice when I find myself in Auburn each summer visiting my kids at sleep-away camp. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants and stores like Wal-Mart, Best Buy and others. We enjoyed a weekend in Auburn shopping in the area. Great hotel, very clean & in great shape considering its age. Unfortunately our room overlooked the ventilation system so I heard a constant humming which I found annoying. The breakfast was well appointed & seemed to be constantly stocked. I had hoped to enjoy the fire pit, however there were... More

The carpet in the room was filthy, we have stayed at many Residences Inn all over the country, and this one was huge disappointment. Would not go back even though the area is very nice. They offer standard breakfast, wifi and friendly service, but the dirt is inexcusable.

Dear lini69, I'm sorry to hear that your stay was disappointing. Even though we have our carpets professionally deep cleaned three times a year, shampooed monthly and vacuumed daily some of our carpets have stains that can no longer be removed. Because of this, we are installing all new guest room carpets this fall along with new furniture. I hope... More
