Slow service, but a nice waitress. My lobster ravioli was great, but the pint of beer was only 3/4 filled as they ran out; but charged me full price. My wife's seafood stew was disappointing, only 3 scallops, tasteless Maine shrimp, only 1 mussel and tasteless fish of some kind.

We checked in early. We had massages scheduled for the afternoon. When we got to the room there were two warm fuzzy robes and flip-flops waiting for us. We made it to the spa and sat near the fireplace waiting for our masseuses. It didn't take long before we were escorted back to our rooms. The massages were really good....

My stay at the Senator Inn was quite nice. My room was large, clean and well appointed (it was on the second floor in the front). The only meal I had was breakfast, which was a buffet with a wide selection of fruits, cereals, eggs, etc. The restaurant staff was friendly and courteous. One thing about the Inn: It's a maze,...

There isn't much to say, I was forewarned that my experience wasn't going to be anything like my normal travel experiences are. I arrived with my friends for a one night "friends" night. Upon arrival, we were greeted by what appeared to be a friendly front desk staff. Then one lady with short hair and glasses surprised me and my...

When I arrived at the Senator Inn in Augusta, ME I walked into the lobby just to wait 20 minutes to check in. There was one attendant working with one couple ahead of me. The lady behind the desk was to concerned with the people she was waiting on to acknowledge me. She finally after waiting 15 minutes said she...

My friend and I had a wonderful spa day at the Senator Inn and Spa. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and soaked up some sun poolside. Our massages were absolutely wonderful. The Senator Inn and Spa really made us feel pampered, all the staff is professional and friendly. We will be back!

I used to stay here fairly often. So when I had an appt. at the State House, I booked a room. The room rate was reasonable so when the room was older and more outdated than I'd ever experienced there, I said, "Well, it is cheap." BUT then I realized that the carpet was filthy AND there was a stinky...

Found the Senator to be very satisfactory. The room was very clean....particularly the bathroom. Small, but adequate and well priced. Good breakfast included. Staff helpful. I did not use the spa, but other family members did and often choose the Senator for the Soa experience.

This was a good place to stay in Augusta! Had everything we were looking for- namely, a bed and bathroom, and a convenient location! The pool was nice, however the floor sort of grossed me out (hair everywhere) and I did not want to walk around barefoot. I do not understand why people would think this is a "luxury" hotel-...
