Nantucket being an island can be a pain to get off and on. Having employees that commute is hard as well. We put up different employees twice and they all were very happy with their rooms and the hospitality. They have said if it happens again they would like to stay here again!

Once I discovered Carlisle House Inn earlier this year, I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Heather is a wonderful inn keeper and your comfort and enjoyment is her first priority. The house is quiet and the rooms are clean and super cozy. I'm sure I'll be back. Susan

I stayed the weekend as part of a group and we all had such a wonderful experience! Heather really makes you feel comfortable and gives the best tips on restaurants! The rooms are neat, the house is beautiful. She is very accommodating of schedules. The location is ideal. We woke up early and walked to the light house down the...

Loved staying in this house which felt like home! Warm and very comfortable room. Felt very private despite a fairly full house! Fires were lit and some of the bedrooms had fires that could be lit! Breakfast was very filling with lots of freshly baked goods and lots of fruit and cereal. I will be back in the Spring.

My mom and I come to Nantucket every fall (late Sept or early Oct) and always stay at the Carlisle Inn. It is a very short walking distance to downtown, walking distance to Brant Point Lighthouse and walking distance to the ferry terminal. The rooms are cozy & clean and the breakfast is enough to get your day started (usually...

Not exactly sure where to begin? Initially found & chose the Carlisle House online simply because it was within easy walking distance of the White Heron Theatre at 5 Water Street. Very early on during my first visit I realized Carlisle House Inn was my home-away-from-home. Heather has preserved this beautiful, historic house in the heart of downtown Nantucket and...

The Carlisle House Inn was clean but that's about all I could say about it. The breakfast was minimalistic, and very stingy on the fruit, like they were doing it on purpose so we wouldn't eat much. The room was rustic. The blanket and coverlet looked like they were very old and I'm not sure when they were last washed....

Nantucket, just a special place to vacation and enjoy the beaches, the town and the restaurants. This was our fourth stay at the Carlisle House. Great location, staff & breakfast. The owner, Heather, is there and makes sure your stay at the Inn is everything you expect it to be. We have already booked our room for the summer of...

The Inn was terrific. We stayed in The Brant Point room on the first floor. Beautiful canopied double bed. Brand new bathroom which was perfect. Heather, the innkeeper was warm and friendly and very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfasts were loaded with homemade goodies and great yoghurt and coffee. Look forward to a return visit

We spent 3 nights at the Inn in July. The room was fine, mattress was comfortable, and room was clean. However, the power went out in our room several times, and at Nantucket rates, I'd expect the electricity to be upgraded. The breakfast is also fairly limited, though that's not uncommon at these B&B's on the island. Overall it's an...

We're pleased that this guest enjoyed his stay overall at our inn. Like almost all the B&Bs on island, we are not allowed to offer a full breakfast, but our continental-plus breakfast includes home-baked breads and coffeecakes/scones/muffins; hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit salad, assorted breads, bagels and english muffins; yogurts; juice, coffee, tea, and cocoa. Many of our guests...
