Spent four nights at the Brass Lantern Inn and had a wonderful experience. The pros: very comfortable beds with luxurious linens; the aroma of cookies baking for afternoon tea; availability of tea and coffee all day; friendly staff; complementary bottled water daily; generous breakfast; and an outstanding in-town location - just a block from the Whaling Museum and the Madaket...

So glad that your four nights at the Brass Lantern was a 'wonderful experience' - exactly what we would hope for all our guests! I'm sorry that you found our sweeping front staircase to be difficult to manage and am glad that our newer, Garden Wing staircase suited you better. Another reviewer commented the lack of full-length mirrors - we...

We travelled over from the UK for a family wedding.3 adults, a 3 year old and a 5 week old baby. Good position for town, sheets very comfortable, staff very welcoming. Lovely breakfast and afternoon tea. Problem having a pushchair as all the entrances have steps so very hard to get in. Also the top floor we were on had...

Thank you for sharing your experiences at the Brass Lantern - we at the Brass Lantern enjoyed being 'on the edge' of your family wedding celebration! Thank you for your comment about the Family Suite door - we do have a child gate but will consider adding a more permanent barrier since our gate did not meet your needs. I...

The Brass Lantern Inn ("BLI") is an absolute gem! Centrally located, comfortable and family friendly, it's truly a rarity in Nantucket. Breakfast is superb and gets two thumbs up from my very discriminative European husband who raved that the BLI has provided the best continental breakfast west of Atlantic Ocean. Michele and her staff were very helpful from doling out...

Your kind comments are generous and richly descriptive - thank you! I especially appreciate your 'European husband's' thoughts about our continental breakfast - which has evolved over the years to include hard cheese and fruit with wine jelly, and scones and lemon curd - with the influence of my English husband - as well as our 'BLI' made granola and...

This was our first trip to Nantucket, and thanks to choosing the Brass Lantern for our accommodations, our visit was perfect! Michelle and the staff were wonderful, the room was spotlessly clean, we loved the breakfast (and fresh-baked afternoon cookies, which filled the house with a wonderful aroma!) and it was always so peaceful and quiet. The location couldn't be...

Just spent a few days in this lovely comfortable Inn in the Centre of the town. The staff were amazing, helping with all our queries and bookings for tours, ferry and Restaurants. Comfortable room with the softest sheets ever. The Continental Breakfast was yummy fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, fresh muffins/scones. Nice garden to sit in and they have Beach towels...

Just what you would want in a Nantucket B&B. My room was freshly painted and updated. Bed was comfy and linens were first rate. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The afternoon cookies were a nice touch. The continental breakfast provided all you needed to get the day going and the muffins were indeed fresh and warm. Bread for toast...

It is a pleasure for us to meet and exceed the expectations of guests who 'do their homework'! The Brant Point is one of our favorite rooms - just renovated so brand new furniture and king bed - and with a sweeping view of Nantucket Harbor - I am glad that you were equally pleased. The delightful Brass Lantern Inn is an easy short walk from the ferry dock and steps away from all the shops, restaurants, and sights of Nantucket Town.
