Our three day getaway to Nantucket was everything we hoped it would be. We stayed at the luxurious Wauwinet and enjoyed the sea air, wildflowers, and sunsets over the bay. We took the jitney into town, enjoyed the private beaches, and rode the inn's bikes through hilly fields of brush and thistle. It was magical from start to finish and... More

The Wauwinet located in the bay with the same name has a wonderful location. Sitting on the lawn for sunset and drinking some wine from the impressive wine list or driving out in the morning in your 4WD to the lighthouse (and watching the seals sleep on the beach ....) is a wonderful experience. We extended our stay because the... More

My wife and I spent three days and evenings at the Wauwinet, and all I can say is that this is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. Without exaggeration, you get the feeling that you are visiting at the Great Gatsby's home. Everything is first class from the service to the furnishings. May is very quiet on Nantucket;... More

What a wonderful experience. Sure it was a family wedding. However, the service was above and beyond anything I have experienced. Room was comfortable and the view was good. Although the TV was in the way of opening the shutters to window. Very peaceful and loved the porch and library.

If you want to get away from everything, and I mean everything, this is the place. But know that it's a 16 minute drive to the town of Nantucket, the only restaurant is the restaurant at the hotel, and there are no shops, no museums, nothing for miles. There is no pool, but there is a beach in front of... More

LOVED our trip and time at the Wauwinet for a birthday trip. We had a great small, but nice room right on the first floor with views of the bay. The location, natural beauty and ambiance at the Wauwinet are special. The service however is where they are at another level. Outstanding in every way. Location. An amazing location, truly spectacular if you're a Nantucket lover. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing and the perfect place to "unplug".
