A doable walk from the ferry if you're not toting a lot of luggage which we were not. The price is good for Nantucket; breakfast is fresh fruit & muffins. The rooms are fine; one room has a small porch with chairs but there really isn't room to sit in them. There is a nice outdoor area with plenty of...

I had always wanted to visit this inn, as I had read the book "Innside Nantucket" about Bob and Barb Gilbreth years ago as a child. It took 35 years to get there, but we were able to visit the island before the tropical storm made it impossible. We dropped in to this inn, without any notice, and Ann, the...

The Anchor Inn is located on Centre Street a block from American Seasons. Pros: Rooms are well decorated with comfortable bed. Ample dressers and large closet (something not always found on Nantucket). Outside breakfast area is cute, quiet, and comfortable. We didn't really see the innkeepers during our stay, but this was because we were really only there to sleep!...

This is a 200 year old inn in a wonderful location near downtown Nantucket. Beds are fairly comfortable and room was a good size. The owners are very nice and very helpful. WiFi was not working in one of the rooms but we were offered the opportunity to move. All in all a good value for Nantucket.

The 200 year old Inn is charming and steeped in history but it's greatest charms are Ann and Charles, the owners. They couldn't be more warm, friendly and welcoming. A lovely couple, a lovely Inn and a lifelong memory!!

Our 2-day visit to Nantucket was too brief, but we loved our stay at the Anchor Inn. Our first floor room was large and comfortable with two cozy arm chairs, a four-poster bed and an updated bath. Lovely muffins, juice, fruit and coffee for breakfast inside the house or on the quiet leafy patio. The staff was friendly and helpful,...

If you're looking for a 200yr old inn, you can find many on the island. If you're looking for great service and a low-key stay, this is the place. I'm just going to list perks; I have nothing bad to say about the Anchor Inn! Ann, the owner, is lovely and informative. She gave me running routes and helped us...

I have been coming to Nantucket for many years and came across the Anchor Inn as a girlfriend and I searched for a last minute room during the Yoga Festival in mid-July (high season). We were able to book a room and had a wonderful (too short!) stay at Anchor Inn. Charles was gracious and welcoming, and the entire staff...

This was my idea of the perfect Nantucket B&B, clean comfortable rooms, a cozy common room to relax in, lovely porch for morning coffee and muffins and nice patio outside. What more could one need. There are tv's for those that must have them, but we were there for four nights and never turned it on. Ann and Charles were...

Thank you for taking the time to write about your visit with us at Anchor Inn. It is our 33rd season as innkeepers here and we do not request Trip Advisor reviews, so it is fun to read your lovely unsolicited comments about your experience. We enjoyed your visit. Thank you. Ann

Traditional, rustic, and cozy B&B. Wonderful owner, Ann, great location, very comfortable, inviting spot. Would absolutely come back. Room was quiet and clean. My only suggestion for improvement - bed was just okay, mattress was a little too soft, and pillows were not comfortable - too hard. Down pillows or synthetic down pillows would be a big improvement. Continental breakfast...

Thank you for this 5 star rating and your lovely comments. We do offer a selection of bed pillows,... just let us know your preference next time. We get many compliments on our comfortable beds, but we realize everyone has a personal preference, so we have a bed board if needed. Looking forward to your return. Regards, Ann

“The Wanderer on the first floor is a good size but wifi was not working. Some of the rooms upstairs have very small showers.”

“This is a small, 11 room, B&B and every room has its own bath. All the rooms at the Anchor Inn are good rooms. Making reservations well in advance, particularly in August, is vital because you can't get to Nantucket except by plane or boat. The airport is less than 3 miles from town and there are plenty of taxis. Most important about Nantucket is that you must be aware that you can't just make a travel choice on a moment's notice in summer, Not having to bring a car is also a plus because this island town is a walker's pleasure or a bike riders dream. There are so many bike paths.Nantucket also has a wonderful summer bus program that takes people back and forth to the ocean and around the island.”
