I stayed at the GTR during a business meeting in Sept 2016 (and 15 and 13 and 11 and....). The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, on-top of their game. The guest rooms are always clean and have recently been renovated (well, in the last 8-10 years). Comfy mattresses - and at least 4 different kinds of pillows. Banquet food was...

My husband and I chose this hotel for my Bday weekend/new years eve. We picked this resort solely based on all the activities and amenities it boasted on its website. Oh and behold none of those activities were up and running, in fact the whole town seemed to be closed down or very few places opened. The pool area was...

Restaurant was understaffed. Had an 8:45 reservation an sat for 30 minutes before anyone came. Waitstaff brought wrong drinks. Ordered oysters. When they arrived two of the shells were empty. How could chef not notice this? Potatoes were raw, steak over peppered, fish overcooked and rice cold. Manager said she would be right over to take care of problem, but...

I was just there the week of Christmas December 2016. We stayed on the 7th floor in the tower. It was so nice. Beautiful view of the bay and hills in the distance. The room was very clean and the bed very soft. We had trouble with hot water the first morning. But being off season and not as many...

We stayed here during Christmas break and our kids loved the place. We stayed in the tower at 12th floor and that gives you beautiful views of the property and the bay. We also noticed that staff was extremely polite and helpful, and that made lot of difference during our stay. Kids loved the indoor pools while we enjoyed the...

We stayed one night at the resort. The staff was courteous, helpful and always smiling. We had breakfast at the restaurant inside ( Sweet water American Bistro..) . It was fast, presented well, reasonably priced and tasted very good. Service was excellent throughout the hotel. No guests were complaining.

On our way into Traverse City, we stopped here to enjoy the view and have a bite to eat. We sat in Jack's and had BBQ Chicken Flatbread with a glass of Bonobo wine and truly enjoyed the ambiance and everything about this location. We will visit again in the future! Recommend!

Fall is a great time to visit Traverse City. I stayed int the tower so I could look over the trees with all the changing colors. Oranges, yellows and reds as you look over the Grand Traverse Bay. Also, great for business trips.

My company scheduled a conference at the resort from October 11-13 so my girlfriend and I decided to head up a bit early. We spent the 7th through the 10th in the "Tower" and had a wonderful time. The room at the tower was great and just the right size. The newly decorated room was wonderful and the shower was...
