Perfectly located, their staff is super helpful and always ready to answer any questions and solve any 'problems' the guest might have. They follow up with your needs to make sure that you had a good experience not only when you were at their premises but while you were out. The Hotel presents a typical eclectic decoration that combines modern installations with colonial hardware. The gardens and courtyards are manicured and maintained. The variety of plants and flowers complements the outdoor furniture located in the resting areas. These halls, mezzanines, and terraces all have electrical outlets where you can rest while you check your mail on your phone or tablet.

This is a very cute and cozy hotel in the heart of Antigua and within a short walking distance of all major attractions and plazas. It has a great terrace with an expansive view of the volcanoes. The staff are friendly and helpful and have a functional knowledge of English. The newly renovated wing at the back has the best and most comfortable rooms while those around the terrace or courtyard are smaller and more cramped. The main minuses for me were the lack of blackout blinds in the rooms (they have light filtering ones) and the absence of any food service. The fan in my room also creaked a bit and so I kept it off during the night. I would definitely consider staying here again if I revisited and I hope they have blackout blinds by then as they could be a deal breaker for a light sleeper like me. Overall it was a good experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at Las Camelias. The front desk was very helpful and friendly and they offered complimentary coffee and filtered water in the hotel lobby. This is great because you should not drink the tap water in Guatemala. The hotel was also well located and walking distance from everything. Antigua as a whole os very walkable. The hotel has an open elevated patio with views of the volcanos and the room I stayed in was very clean with a lovely large shower. The front desk helped me book a vehicle to get to Lake Atitlan and even helped a colleague of mine who was not a resident of the hotel. I also liked the amount of greenery in the hotel. It added a quaint charm. Only small downside was some spotty wifi in the room and the walls are a bit thin so you can here some external sounds. I would recommend this hotel to individuals traveling on budget looking for a clean, comfortable and well appointed apace.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times in the last five years. Never disappointed with the service or the accommodations. I would recommend only one person in a single room as the bathrooms in the single rooms are small.

Lovely hotel, great and kind staff. Small but comfy room and tiny bathroom but all made good because of great water pressure and lots of hot water. Lovely roof deck for relaxing. Nice, generous and well priced breakfast. Only suggestion would be to allow guest access to a fridge where we could store cold drinks. They did let me use the one in the kitchen but they close this early evening so not much good if you would like to chill a bottle of wine for an evening drink on the terrace.

We stayed at Hotel Las Camelias during Semana Santa, 2019. The hotel itself is charming. There is a courtyard with a little fountain in the center of the hotel where you can sit and sip a cup of coffee. Interesting decor throughout the common areas. We enjoyed a choice of breakfast entrees on the roof deck, which had a beautiful view of the city. Staff is very attentive. The rooms are very basic but also clean. Bathrooms are tiny. Remember, you are staying in a colonial city where many buildings are very old. If I could do it again, I’d request a second floor room. You’ll need to keep the windows open and on the first floor, that meant hearing the comings and goings of guests walking through the courtyard. Also try to avoid the room nearest the kitchen.

This is a reasonably priced property and rooms are basic but very comfortable. As others have stated, bathroom is small. But the setup with shower and toilet in bath, and sink in room allowed for flexible use of the space by myself and my roommate. Rooms are situated around a small, central courtyard where flowers were in beautiful bloom. The view of the volcanoes from the rooftop deck is exceptional. Beer is available for purchase (until 10PM) and sipping our beers while watching Fuego was a fabulous experience. Complimentary coffee is available 24/7, an essential for early morning airport departures. Staff was friendly and helpful. Secure off street parking is available adjacent to the property. Location cannot be beat. It is within easy walking distance of all that Antigua has to offer. Noise can be a factor, especially on a busy Saturday night in the city. Traveling with earplugs is always helpful:)

My wife, son and I stayed here during our time in Antigua for 3 nights. We found this place to be very convenient, well located, fare price and friendly staff. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom/shower. Breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Antigua.

This is my third time staying at this hotel and it is alway very relaxing. They have a roof-top seating area for you to lounge around on, drink a beer, meet with a group, or have breakfast on. Excellent views of the town and the volcanos. Small, medium and large rooms with single and multiple bed options.

This place was simply charming. Courtyard with flowers in bloom. Upstairs patio with a view of the volcanos. My 2 bed room was very basic but only cost $45 USD per night. No A/C (but there was a ceiling fan) and the room was not very large, but it was had an authentic air, and I was NOT looking for the "American Experience". Esmerelda made my visit much more pleasant. So cheerful and helpful! And a plus was that they have a posted "Quiet Time" policy. So enjoyed my 2 day visit that this was where I returned to later in the week when I found myself in Antigua again.
