Lovely time at Earth Lodge. Do yourself a huge fav and book early enough for a tree house. The Casa del Encino is further down the hill and more forward than the other. Great views. Be prepared for the initial downhill path to the lodge. You gotta come back up! These guys are major with accommodating needs. Booked a shuttle... More

Let's keep this simple; amazing staff, location, food, view, comfort and luxury! Everything is here that you could want for the perfect getaway from the bustle of Anitgua. Whether it's with a special someone or just solo this is an amazing place to come and unwind. Special mention to Ian and Serge who made it just awesome! There's only one... More

What a great place, definitely the best place we have stayed on our travels around Central America. We stayed in the newest tree house overlooking the three volcanos. It was awesome! If the view wasn't enough the tree house itself had panoramic views surrounded by forest with a small terrace with a hammock. Perfection! At night you can also watch... More

The earth lodge is an amazing place. The view there is breath taking, and you can swing on a hammock and enjoy it all day long. We had great dinners there in the restaurant. It was served to everyone together, family style. After dinner we moved to the sofas around the fireplace and had a good time with wonderful people.... More

Wow, what an incredible place! We spent 1 night in cabana Tierra which was beautiful, with 4 beds it was more than enough space and a brilliant view with outside space to admire it (hammocks and table/chairs). Our second night we spent in the deluxe tents which was fab. We had a duvet, pillows and mattress with a shelter over... More

Sunday's here are amazing - a real bbq with a live band, and good people to meet! We were lucky enough to join in the fun on Easter Sunday. Loved every part of this place, and it's been the highlight of my two month trip so far. Pulled pork burger was amazing, as was the family dinner. Dorm beds were... More

Myself and I stayed in the Casa del Encino - their newest and priciest tree house, to treat ourselves after the overnight hike on Acatenango. It was magical to sit at sunset watching the peak of Acatenango and knowing that we were up there only hours before. Earth Lodge was a big expense for me on a backpacker budget however... More

I have travelled to many places in the world, with many guesthouses, hotels, lodges and resorts under my belt. Earth Lodge tops them all. The view...I was left speechless on arrival and throughout, contiously seeing lava and plumed smoke spewed into the air from one of the three volcanoes in the distance. Once in a lifetime view. The tree-house style... More

I absolutely LOVED the Earth Lodge. In total, I stayed for 12 nights, and I wish I could live there. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was home. I was greeted by an amazing volunteer staff (Sergio, Ariel, Melodie, Xavier, Liz (the new yoga instructor), and the owners Drew and Bri. The family style dinners made by... More

My partner and I stayed at the earth lodge in the tree house last week for our two first nights in guatemala. The views are stunning, especially around sunset. The food is also fantastic - avocados on everything! Mostly what made it for us, though, was the people. Super helpful and friendly. United airlines lost one of our bags and... More
