We stayed here for 3 nights in a room with 5 beds. Us kids, as we went to sleep before the music started, had a great sleep, but at 9 the place across the road started playing loud music. The adults had a really bad sleep because of that. A free breakfast with options of either eggs or pancakes and...

I stayed for three nights. First, the location is good. It's one block away from San Francisco and there are cafe, restaurants and spa around the hostel. It's close from Main Square too. Second, rooms and bathroom are good. Bed is comfortable and sheets are clean. There is no air conditioner in the room but it was not hot at...

What a little gem! I would most definitely stay here again, in fact we tried to but it was booked out. We had a private room near the restrooms but this was fine. The staff here are so helpful and speak English which was a bonus for me! They are super clean. The breakfast was included and was delicious!

We were three friends sharing a private room at El Hostal. The staff is really nice and helpful and most of them understood or spoke very good and English. They have a nice little common area to relax in and serve free breakfast every morning. A cross the street you'll find a cool bar named No Se, a nice place...

One of the best hostels I've stayed in - and I've stayed in a lot! This place is very clean (rooms and the bathrooms) and you immediately feel at home. There is a lovely courtyard where you can relax and meet other travellers and the staff are incredibly helpful and kind. I had to seek medical treatment and they made...

I was very happy with my experience at El Hostal. I read the reviews in advance so I know it was across a bar with live music. I was in the room across from the bar. I liked the loud music my biggest complain was other backpackers talking when coming in late-leaving early or accidentially slamming the metal lockers. I...

I REALLY like this hostel--it attracts a more mature backpacking crowd compared to other hostels I've stayed at in Antigua. They have a bar which is great for happy hour but around 9:00pm they ask that all socializing moves outside to the many close bars and restaurants. They do enforce this, which I think is great--sometime you need an early...

This is a simple hostel built around an old Spanish courtyard. I've been staying here for years, and it is consistently good. We usually go for a private, which is simple..but all I need. Shared bathrooms, but it is made for by a fantastic free breakfast. Across the street is cafe no se (classless dive that you can't help but...

El Hostal is an awesome base for exploring Antigua. Great location, super friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous little patio with comfy couch and hammock for chilling out which creates a great social atmosphere. We were a group of five and met lots of great people traveling on their own and in groups. Kitchen is well stocked and happy hour is...

This is our second stay at this great little hostel and we were not disappointed. They have a delicious free breakfast, the staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms and facilities are always clean. The courtyard is nice and quaint and a great place to do some research or chat with some fellow travelers. The atmosphere is nice as...
