We stayed at Jacc for two nights. It's a quiet chilled out hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a lovely garden & kitchen area. The best part is the breakfast. Not just your typical free breakfast, choose from eggs and bacon, granola and...More
Very friendly stuff, and extremely clean facilities. The cleaning lady cleaned the bathroom at least a 100 times a day :-). I stayed in a private room with a friend. We paid 180q per night. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The included...More
Great hostel! Clean, but relatively small, affordable bedrooms, wonderful staff who are polite and helpful, and breakfast is included in the overall price. This hostel has suited me just fine - does the job nicely.
We stayed here for one night after night hiking volcano Tajamulco, which meant we needed sleep. For this, this hostel was great. Not a party hostel at all which suited us perfect but not the best if you want to socialize.

How early do they do airport transfers, I have a 645 AM flight in Guatemala City, and am wondering if I can stay the night even if it means being shuttled around 430 AM, or if I just need to get shuttled that evening and spend the night at the airport.

You won't have any problems getting a ride to the airport from Hotel Casa Jacaranda. Victor is the usual guy on duty overnight, and he can help you set it up. I strongly recommend leaving Antigua by 4 am at the latest, if your flight leaves at 6:45. The area around the gates is very nice & modern and there will be several restaurants open for breakfast. I recently took a group from my school on a tour around Guatemala, and I used JandA Services to help me arrange all of my transportation needs. If you run into any issues while you are in the country, you can call Alex at 502-4557-5545. Also, they know Alex at Hotel Casa Jacaranda.
