Had a really lovely stay at Mi Casa, Antigua itself is a wonderful place but it was made so much better with Don Luis and his expertise, excellent service and great conversation we could not have asked for a better host. He really went above and beyond from taking us to get our car fixed to lending us a helping hand when I was cooking. The room itself was comfortable, clean and the communal areas were very homely. Can’t recommend enough. Gracias por todo! Te vemos en unos meses!
My son and I recently stayed at Mi casa en la Antigua and would have stayed there longer had it not been booked solid for New Year. Despite being considered a budget accomodation, we enjoyed a double room with tv, a warm shower and private bathroom. The place was very clean and the owner most helpful. When my son suddenly took ill in the middle of the night, Don Ruiz was there to help me clean up and walked me to the closest pharmacy for medication. He was awesome and I can’t thank him enough for his help that night!! As an aside, you can also arrange tours and transport from the hotel. Pretty handy for visiting the region and planning outings. All in all a very simple but nice and friendly place to stay! Florence and Yann (from Canada)
Mi Casa is a budget hotel with private rooms and shared bathrooms. There is one bathroom for men and one for women. The water is hot but for only ten minutes which is sufficient. The owner, Luis, is a very nice gentleman who made tea when I was sick. He also let me have a late checkout and loaned me his computer to use as I did not have a smartphone. The rate that I paid was very reasonable and the location was good. Two blocks away there is a very good Taiwanese Restaurant called Red Koi.
I visited this hotel last month, in Antigua Guatemala. The location can’t be beat, only one block from Iglesia La Merced, less than 10 minutes walk to the main square. Don Luis, the owner, is a very welcoming host. Rooms are cleaned daily, if you want, and you can store your bags if you’re moving on after checkout time. Laundry services are available, and local tours can be booked on site. I would definitely return!
This hotel is a gem and stands out in its surroundings of La Antigua which are generally poor and impoverished. Once through the doors of Mi Casa you are into a different world. The hotel facilities are excellent, the grounds are lovely and the whole atmosphere wonderful. Our food and service could not have been better.
