I booked for 3 nights and stayed 2 months. Once again, need I say more??? Raul, the owner/manager told me to make myself at home when I first entered and I said to myself "right". It was the most comfortable hostal in 8 months of backpacking

My friend and I were planning to stay at this hostel for 2 nights, three weeks later we have finally and grudgingly left. It was without a doubt the most welcoming and friendly hostel I have ever stayed in. The hostel is run by Raoul who is extremely helpful and informative - the perfect host. His brother Fernando is always...

Raul is great, very hospitable. Takes really good care of the people that come to his hostel. Breakfast in the morning is a good pick me up. Will definitley be staying here again, especially for the price.

If you prefere family atmosphere and enjoy spending time with friendly people it is your place. Raul, the owner is such a nice guy and always a helping hand. His hostal is quite simple but you will find all what you need. It is near the artisan and food market and close by the center. We loved his four cats...

Close to the market, it's easy to go visit Antigua from this place and if you're not leaving early in the morning, you could enjoy the breakfast (eggs+bread). Cold shower, horrible mattress, wifi only on the living room and not in the room, we haven't had a good stay there.

Overall I loved A Place to Stay. It's very budget friendly and I made great friends. The kitchen is available for use and really brings everyone together. This is not a party hostel as curfew is 12pm. More of a family atmosphere! Breakfast is generally banana pancakes or eggs with veggies and bread. The free coffee is actually quite good....

A simple, clean friendly family style place run by the helpful and friendly Raul. 2 mis from the main bus terminal in Antigua so really convenient and a 5 min walk to the Centre. Calm and quiet, not a party place so it's great if you want a chilled sociable homely place to stay. It's great value as breakfast is...
