This has everything you want or need in Antigua...great location, good and comfortable rooms, a friendly and kind staff and beautiful courtyard garden. Nice breakfast too! The rooms are clean and homey. The location is highly central...it's all just outside the front gates. The best restaurants are right next door.
I was in Antigua and stayed at this hotel for 5 days! The service is excellent, rooms clean, the courtyard is beautiful and it was a good value for my money! I really enjoyed my stay and I recommend this hotel to single women travelers , it is safe and very secure! I will be coming back again! Loved it!
This is an older hotel that has been well cared for and beautifully renovated to provide a clean and comfortable accommodation. The bedding is modern as are the bathrooms. There is both hot and cold running water. I was not impressed by the hotel restaurant. I only ate breakfast there, but found it lacking. The hotel does a good job providing security and locking the doors and gates at night. Security personnel are always visible and available for buzzer entry after hours. The best amenity that the hotel offers is an excellent location that is central to most everything in old downtown Antigua. This is a nice hotel that delivers a good value.
I've been going to Antigua for one or two weeks annually for over 25 years. Hotel Aurora is my first choice in Antigua. Perfect location. Immaculately clean. Relaxing garden courtyard. Delicious breakfast. Congenial staff. Great value. I've tried other places, but always come back to Aurora
My husband and I have stayed here every year for about a decade. It is our favorite. The hotel is clean, comfortable and charming. The staff are friendly and helpful. We feel so welcome here. All the rooms are nice, but we always ask for a room in the back courtyard- quiet and next to the hotel parrot. Both courtyards are filled with flowers. The location is perfect. Highly recommended
Good location in Antigua, met some great people and had good conversations in the courtyard. Clean and safe accommodations, responsive and friendly multilingual staff. Found on a recommendation from a year-round resident.
We stayed in Hotel Aurora for 2 nights. The hotel is nice and has a lovely garden. The sitting forniture outside the room are very comfortable. The room are spacious and essential. Bathroom size is OK and functional. Breakfast although basic is sufficient and the biscuits available are very good. Staff is nice and courteous. Perhaps the room are slightly overpriced but overall this hotel is a safe bet.
We had a fabulous time in the Aurora hotel. Rooms are large, modern (especially the bathroom) and clean. The inner garden is beautiful, equipped with comfortable chairs, and outside every room there are also sofas to sit on and enjoy the tranquility. Location is perfect - 3 minutes walk from the central square, and it felt very safe to walk around in the evening. Service was very friendly and efficient (with good English spoken by most staff members), and while breakfast was somewhat on the dull side, it was sufficient.
I have been visiting Hotel Aurora in Antigua Guatemala for many years. It is conveniently located near the central park. The rooms are always clean and well appointed with antiques. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. The staff are always friendly, and provide superb service. The courtyard is beautifully maintained with flowering plants and a fountain. It's ideal for relaxing in the sun in a lounge chair with a good book.
Rooms a clean and showers are good. Good price for a tranquil setting with good service. The beds are pretty hard though. Solid 4 for Antigua. Breakfast was a solid 4- nothing imagined here.... the straight forward stuff. Quick service.
