A simply beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of Antigua. The staff are so wonderful that very soon it feels like your own home. The suite was stunning, particularly the bathroom and real fire. I had my own wonderful terrace with a hammock. The restaurant is lovely. The yoga and Pilates are an added plus too. If I am lucky enough to return to Antigua, I will be going back.
This place is so amazing!! It has that beautiful old world charm and I s kept in very good condition. The rooms are so beautiful and we defiantly recommend especially for a romantic getaway. ALL staff here are extremely professional and kind! The food is also so amazing, don’t miss the breakfast and dinners there! It’s in a great location as well, in walking distance to a ton of great shops and spots. You won’t regret coming here.
There are so many choices and options at very reasonable rates in this lovely Spanish colonial city. The room # 5 was spacious, luxurious and comfortable all around with huge bathroom & tub. We had two nights here with our son in another room which was smaller but very accommodating. I wish there were more electric outlets and USB plugs accessible. The breakfast included was superior and the wait staff were very attentive. TIP: be sure to explore the many look-outs and observation patios/decks for a 360 degree view of the volcanoes in the distance and the city below.
I was delighted with the hotel, I had already been there for Brunch which is fantastic. This time we stayed there and our room was beautiful, the bathroom products are wonderful and you can get some things in their little store. I loved the detail of the bottle of wine in the room with 2 glasses, the price was good, we didn't have a corkscrew, but service came to help us. Very nice we relaxed in the patio and enjoyed our wine. All the staff very friendly, the breakfast delicious. The private parking is a super plus, they help you with the suitcase to the room. Fantastic! Without a doubt we will return in a few months and we will stay here again.
I went for a few days, the room was super cool. Very authentic beautiful stuff everywhere. You can go up on the roof and view the city, there is a world class restaurant there. Everything is great. The kind of experience that improves your life. I watched 2 seasons of Stranger Things, sitting in the candlelit rooms hot tub, which is in a room with a circular window with a view of Agua Volcano. At night a storm came through and Lightning hit the volcano many times, watching that show felt like something from neverending story I swear with that view behind it. The restaurant is really good, if you eat there it will probably be a memory you keep for life. I had a fancy shmancy dinner there, but breakfast really shined. I have friends and business partners in Antigua and one met me there for breakfast. He brought his daughter who went swimming in the small pool splashing water on people eating their food, it was hilarious. They had to ask us to contain the issue which we did. I loved it though, it made for a great memory. We went to smoke on the roof, it was a really nice place to relax. There is a trippy cross on top. I would stay in that room again for sure. And I would get breakfast there again. Dinner is bit too rich for my taste and I like adventuring so it may be a long time before I eat dinn dinns again there.…
Meson Panza Verde has always been a respectable place to have a good meal, but more recently new management and a new chef have worked together to heighten the culinary experience at this venerable eatery in Antigua! A new menu, a very responsive new manager, a creative and talented chef along with the excellent and attentive wait staff, has made Meson Panza Verde my favorite dining experience in Antigua. Located in a restored villa with multiple and beautifully appointed spaces to include a garden, a charming and cozy small bar, it is of the beaten track but easy to find. Good off street parking is a real plus in a town where parking can be challenging, especially on weekends. Their large group and banquet facilities and support are awesome if you are planning an event. Just had my new book presentation brunch there this past August, the planning and attention to details was awesome! Highly recommend Meson Panza Verde , thank you Kendra and Chef Alan 👌❤️…
Top marks for service, architecture, rooms, vibe, location, elegance. One of the best boutique hotels we ever visited. Couldn’t recommend enough. Everything was perfect despite the craziness of NYE celebrations. I would go back over and over.
This Has to be the best hotel in Antigua the price is right and the decor is simply flawless. As a solo traveler the staff Was very attentive to me. All of my transportation request or cater to you and the restaurant was wonderful the food was delicious I also love the art gallery and the little swimming pool very very classy people at this hotel.
This is the second time I've stayed at Meson Panza Verde, which is a review in itself. I love everything about this place and consider it one of the nicest, if not the nicest, hotels that I've staying in whether in Europe, North America, or Latin America. Every detail in every room of this hotel is beautiful. I love the arches and the wooden beams on the ceiling, the open courtyard, the stairways, the room with the piano and contrabass. I've stayed in two different rooms now and each one of them was perfect. The effort and detail that went into choosing each door, the perfect bath (and the shower pressure was excellent), the curtains, the rods for moving the curtains, the colour of the walls and the material. All of it, perfect. And the bed was wonderful. Even the view from our bathroom window, over the pool and to the roof, was great! The food at breakfast was terrific. if I lived in Antigua I'd be there often for breakfast. The service at the hotel was impeccable One of us needed an emergency prescription. The hotel manager discretely arranged for a telephone consultation with a local MD who arranged for the pharmacy to deliver it to the hotel. Discrete and intelligent service that is what you would expect of an excellent hotel.…
20 years ago, this place left such an impression on my wife that she had to return. She loved the room; the garden and the food were great. We did experience a few issues with the water pressure and a few outdated items. Overall, it is a great boutique hotel that cannot be compared to a 4 or 5 star. After check-out and in a taxi on way to airport, I realized, in the rush, I had forgotten my wedding ring in the room. I immediately called the hotel and waited on the phone while the person went to the room to search for the ring. After a few minutes, the person came back and stated he did not find anything and said he would notify the maid of the lost item, and someone would call me back. I’m writing this post 5 days after leaving the hotel and have not received a call back. I called a few minutes ago and was told once again that someone would call me back. I have looked relentlessly through all my luggage and I’m 100% certain I left the ring in one of the drawers. As you all know, a wedding ring is not just a piece of jewelry and I’m having a difficult time understanding without making any conclusions that it could not be found and that the persons I spoke with could not be more responsive and empathetic to the situation. Therefore, for the reasons mentioned above, I’m uncertain as to how to feel about this place…
