This is definitely not a hotel but it was fine if you have the correct expectations. There is a reception with a few rooms right off the lobby - loud during the day! The room itself is clean but bare. Tiny towels in a tiny bedroom and one of those comforters that you immediately remove from the bed because you...

The accommodation is of a very high standard, with quality fixtures and fittings and a very comfortable bed which was just firm enough for me and gave me my best night's sleep in a fortnight. The room, which fronted a road, remained quiet until around 07.30. Thereafter there was limited traffic noise. The window to the room was shuttered –...

The proprietors of this hotel know how to make their visitors feel at home. The location is very close to the city center without the unnecessary hubbub. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and charming. The staff was very friendly and accommodating – even calling around to find a tour for us. On top of that, it was a great value!

Villa Olea is an unpretentious, comfortable guest house offering a very convenient location literally just steps away from the main attractions of Split's waterfront. The staff were extremely professional and helpful; I needed a 3 a.m. wake up call and the reception staff called me from their home on their private telephone to ensure I had woken up. I especially...

Stayed in for 2 nights in Sept 2015 after a tour. Wanted to be closer to all the tourist spots and I couldn't have picked a better spot. Great location lovely room, very clean and well appointed. Breakfast not being included was not a problem as it was so close to everything it was just perfect. And many thanks to...

The Villa Olea is well situated and has all the basics apart from breakfast options. It was a good, clean room with a reasonably comfortable bed and good shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They made sure they knew my arrival time to be sure the front desk was staffed when I got there. It's good value and...

Hidden behind an unassuming door is a nice gem of a hotel. If you want 5 star amenities, this is not the place. But if you want a comfortable room close to attractions, great AC, and a friendly, helpful staff this is the place. I arrived before check in and they went out of their way to get my room...

We loved this hotel and the staff. We booked four rooms and the ideal location allowed us to walk everywhere. The hotel helped us find a driver to pick us up at the airport and transport us to Dubrovnik after our stay in Split. The location was ideal and very close to the center of Split, a short walk to...

Ideal location for the tourist: as close to the centre of Split as you can get without being in it. Five minutes' walk from the main bus station and a taxi rank nearby. For a good price you get a clean, good-size bedroom with en-suite facilities. No breakfast and no tea/coffee (but a kettle and cups!). Free wifi. Very welcoming,...

If you rented a car take care there is no parking around. No breakfast at the hotel no food aloud, no refrigerator. Rooms are ok, if you go swimming you don't have space to dry your swimming clothes. We arrived no one was on the front desk, by chance someone was going out from the hotel. I entered took the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Olea is a newly opened luxurious residence which has been built in such a way that the original stone walls and the supporting beams have been integrated in the rustically furnished interior, in order to evoke the spirit of this 1700-year-old imperial city. The residence consists of 8 luxurious rooms, furnished with the exceptional hand-made solid wooden furniture, which is perfectly incorporated with the original stone walls from the 15th century. Despite our wish to bring to life the spirit of the past centuries, we haven't forgotten the needs of modern living. Each room has been provided with the air conditioner, LCD TV, Wi-Fi and other modern technologies. ... more   less
