I stayed in this hotel with a tour group. I had a good sized, quiet room. However, the shower hose drooped if I did not hold it when I was showering. The breakfast was adequate but not very good. The coffee from the machine in the breakfast room had the colour but not the taste of coffee.

This is a well-located hotel, but the structure is old and creepy with rickety elevators and dated furnishings. Very spare amenities. Breakfast buffet is for people who eat like birds, or are on a diet. I am so thankful we only had to stay here one night.

We spent two nights at this hotel. Had a balcony running the full length of the room. Also had a safe and a mini fridge to store cold drinks. The bed was very comfortable, with good pillows. We ate breakfast and supper at the hotel. The food was okay, nothing great but good enough. There is so much to do... More

This hotel stay was part of a bus tour through Croatia in mid-September. The property has a very good location about a 10 minute walk from the Old Town of Split. But the décor is very dated and tired, the bathroom vent was a little smelly and I had a small single room. The food was average. If you can... More

On the face of it we were well pleased with our spacious rooms, lots of storage and even a chaise longue! Our particular rooms were in the new wing with french doors on to a terrace. The snag was that the temperature was 30 degrees and the AC was inefficient and eventually stopped working! So there we were absolutely frying... More

Interesting hotel, in the sense that the decor was all very dated. This is either a positive or a negative, depending on what you are expecting from a hotel in Split. Staff at the front desk were very warm and helpful, and the location was ok.

They made an overbooking, so they "offered" me a substitute room in a hotel outside of Split. Didn't even appologize. On top of that, one receptionist was very rude. Definitely don't know how this place has the category of ****

We had a short stay here over the summer, and some of the positives for us were the fact that they upgraded us to a presidential suite, which was a good surprise. Overall, its a nice hotel with spacious rooms and well located in the center. The promenade is a short walk across. The breakfast was normal fare as you... More

We stayed at Hotel President in Split for 3 nights. Let us start with the positive aspects: - the hotel is situated in the very center of Split, so it's close to everything (the old center, the port, the commercial area); - most of the staff is kind and helpful (especially the restaurant waiter Igor); - our room was very...
