Our room on first floor (no steps inside) was spacious and the new "split" system AC was very welcome. Double glazed windows and lovely old shutters kept the street noise to a minimum. The view from our window was exactly the same as the picture in our this book, Diocltians Palace just a few twists and turns along the little... More

After spending time in Hvar staying at Hotel From Hell we spent two days here with much needed aircon and clean comfortable rooms. Everything we needed for the money we paid. It's not luxury but it ticks the boxes and is in a great location for exploring. The rooms with a view also have double glazing so very little noise... More

Highly recommended, Great location in Diocletian's palace (which is super cool), and right in the middle of the action. we had a view of the square and the harbor. Just a little noisy so bring earplugs and everything else will be grand!

We booked here very last minute in June 2013 for one night. We were upgraded to a sea view room which was lovely, very comfortable and nice views. Strongly recommend and at a good price for what you receive.

The location couldn't be better, right on the waterfront where all the action is, but I didn't find it noisy in either of the rooms I occupied on the two separate nights I stayed in May 2013, despite both nights seeing major party events. The first room I had, Room 2, is quite luxurious, with a window overlooking the promenade... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Kastel and were very pleased with it. The location can't be better -- right on the Riva promenade and harbor waterfront of Split's old town, near Diocletian's Palace. Access to the hotel is from the rear, via a side street off the Riva, through a public square, and down a little dead-end street. The... More

This is a very small establishment located right in the heart of the old town. All facilities are very compact. We had a studio suite on the top floor and getting the suitcases up those stairs was not easy! However, our beds were comfy and the tiny bathroom very functional. We also appreciated the helpful reception staff.

The location in the old town was convenient but our sea front room overlooked a noisy café and promenade area. We closed the windows to get some quiet and tried the A/C but it was quite warm in the room for sleeping. The bathroom was tiny and my husband hit his head on the large water heater mounted over the... More

Stayed in room 2. Twin beds. Small kitchen, tiny bathroom. Because everything is so narrow, that is not surprising though. But it had everything we needed. Together with the prime location I would recommend staying there. Breakfast was a simple affair which we used only once.

The location of Hotel B&B Villa Kastel in perfect - right in walls of Diocletian's Palace. The staff is very helpful. I didn't opt for the breakfast option because there are so many good breakfast options in the neighborhood. The rooms are small but have comfy beds and nice interior design. I highly recommend staying here!
