It is like to be in a maze to find this hotel in middle of the night like I did but the receptionist was there and was very friendly despite the late time. Room was more than Ok. For the breakfast they always forget one thing the morning (the fruits or my croissants) but as I am not eating much the morning it was not issue. I specially enjoy the location and the room.
Just arrived back from an amazing stay at the hotel. Firstly the staff were all lovely and we got lucky as halfway through our stay they upgraded us to the penthouse room and the views across the city from it were fantastic. We opted for breakfast and there was a good selection of hot and cold items together with plenty of drinks. The hotel lies in the heart of the city and you are less than a few minutes walk from all attractions. The city is a joy to walk around and we loved every minute of our stay. Great hotel in a great city.
We stayed a week in two rooms; both were well-furnished and comfortable. Interesting historic building(s): not easy to get between the rooms as they were built into opposite sides of the wall. Brilliant buffet breakfasts which could be eaten outdoors in a courtyard. Lovely, helpful and cheerful staff who dealt with minor issues immediately. Fantastic location for history fans. Only downside: they don't have enough kettles for every room so you have to trail to and from reception if you want a hot drink. Take a travel kettle if you can, and/or insulated mug with a lid for carrying drinks to your room. Rooms do have a mini-fridge.
I realize it is a historical hotel but I feel that it is not good value for the money. Small room which I totally understand. No shower curtain so the bathroom counter and floor gets soaked every time you wash your hair. Not one box of facial tissue in the room so bring your own or use toilet paper to blow your nose. Small stains on the sheets. The breakfast was sub par compared to similar properties in Croatia. The staff was initially cold but became friendly as time passed.
Lovely stay, we had a quadruple room for two adults and two boys 13 & 8 the only downside was the size for 4, two is perfect even two adults one child but one of our children is huge! Everything else was perfect the location was amazing a three min walk to boat meeting spot for 5 island tour, 3 min walk from meeting point of bus tour to Krka and all the amazing food and sights of the palace on you’re doorstep. Breakfast was great quality everything you could need and the best bread! All the staff we encountered were brilliant especially Duje who showed us great places to eat. We will definitely return just will get two regular rooms. For anyone worried about the noise I am a very light sleeper and as long as you ask reception to adjust temperature on the AC the noise is fine with windows closed.…
Beautiful little gem right in the Diocletian palace. Staff is friendly and helpful, and gives great restaurant advice! Rooms are small but beautifully appointed. If you go to bed early, bring earplugs — especially in the summer — because you are in the center of it all.
This is not a 4 star hotel as we would know it. There is no bar or restaurant at all, breakfast is served in a small room or you can go outside, but beware of sitting in the wrong chairs . There is a coffee machine in the room but you must go to reception to get pods, milk, cups and a spoon. There is a mini bar in room but you must go to reception to get a bottle opener or corkscrew. Rooms are small but reasonably clean, bath was stained and sealing around it was mouldy. Access would be difficult if you were struggling with cases, and the photo showing the entrance is false! On the plus side, staff were all lovely and the air conditioning was a blessing, I would rate this hotel 2 star plus.
We stayed one night here before a sun sail holiday out of marina Agana. So with 24th in Split this hotel could not have been better situated. 20 mins taxi from airport and a 5 min walk of the sea front - slap in the middle of the old town. We had a fab time, loved the adjacent history as well as that of the hotel. Friendly staff - historical feel to the rolls (exposed brick/timbers) and a sufficient breakfast - though the dining room I would describe as adequate than spacious.. it was full/busy. Would definitely stay here again.
This is an usual review because I did not stay there. Their policy requires payment 7 days in advance and I had to cancel my reservation 6 days before arrival as I picked up Covid. Asked them to consider refund and for 10 days received no answer and when pushed did receive negative response. Mind you, they still had 6 days to rent my room and I am convinced that in the crowed Split they did. Based on the way they treat their customers I would not recommend the place
My family and i had an amazing stay in the suite on the top floor. Beautiful historic decoration combined with the stunning views. Staff was very welcoming and polite. We are planning our stay for the next year!
