The Cornaro Hotel garners high marks for its exceptional service, with guests frequently lauding the staff's attentiveness and efficiency. Nestled in the heart of Split, its central location offers easy access to historic sites, making it a hit among travelers.
While the spacious and modern rooms are widely appreciated, some guests have noted soundproofing concerns. Despite the steep prices for certain services, the hotel's cleanliness and luxury amenities, including a rooftop bar and sumptuous spa, contribute to its sophisticated charm.

Detailed Reviews
My three nights at the Cornaro in Split was the second stop of my time in Croatia and I couldn't have been happier with my choice in hotels for my time here. I was greeted by Mirela at the reception desk who provided a map and plan for seeing the sights around Split from the hotel on foot as well as other helpful tips to mazimize my stay. Like all of the locals I met an interacted with while in Croatia, she was friendly and wecloming. The hotel is well appointed and they have taken the COVID restrictions and safety measures very seriously. Small touches like a bottle of hand sanitzer, mask and gloves were provided in the room, and I was also given an upgrade and free bottle of wine when I arrived. Breakfast was hearty, offering a platter of nearly everything that would have been on the buffet, just served individually but a lovely lady who's name I never received. The roof top bar provided a fantastic view of the city and sea as well. The location is fantastic, only steps from the Diocletian's Palace which was a wonder to walk around as I made my way to the promonade. My stay could not be have any better and I know when I return to Split, I'll most definitely stay at the Cornaro once again.

Finlay we are at hotel Cornaro hotel again.
We just love this hotel and their staff.
Cleanse is at the top level all of the time, and now, in this new situation it is even better. You can see their staff sanitizing all the time and really taking top level care of everything.
Their roof top bar is just a perfect gem.
Having a glass of wine, at the sunset in Jacuzzi, with the best view at the Croatian coast is just priceless.
We even got their personalized tissues for disinfection – this was a great surprise! 😊

Cornaro Hotel is a place to be. From the efficient check in (based on the present situation all the protocols are taken care of at this reception: masks, gloves and temperature checking) to the beautifully furnished rooms and spotless bathroom. Finished a long day of sightseeing with a snack served on the terrace overlooking the Old Town. Will return for sure!

We were so happy with our stay at the Cornaro. Everything from booking directly, to the front desk service, to restaurant service, was amazing. They even set up a private table for my wife and I on the rooftop to have an evening drink. They were so generous to us, even bringing us free dessert after our drink and cheese platter.
We also did our COVID antigen test here. They arranged a time for LabPlus to come onsite for no extra charge. We paid less than $50 USD per person for the test and got the results in email in an hour. The front desk printed them out for us.
Also, one thing that is great is that the rooms are better than advertised. We got upgraded to a 5th floor room with a city view. But, it actually had a sea view. Not a full oceanfront sea view, but enough that many hotels would sell that as a sea view. I was so pleased with this view as we were in the city. The location of this place is also great as it's right outside the walls, so you don't have to roll your luggage through the old town.
Perfect hotel for a stay in Split.

We stayed at the Cornaro for a week. The room was very comfortable, breakfast really good, but the best thing about the Cornaro is the location. Only a few minutes walk from the Golden Gate of Diocletan's palace, and about 10 minutes from the seafront, yet the location is very quiet. The view from the rooftop bar is stunning, and the service up there is good (though the drinks are quite expensive compared with the bars in town).
If I could make one suggestion it would be to provide more information for guests. For instance, the opening times of the rooftop bar weren't clear (and seemed to vary from day to day), and it also wasn't clear how you use the rooftop jacuzzis. I didn't bother to ask but I got the impression that you had to book a time slot and pay to use them rather than just getting in at any time.
Also the service at breakfast was a bit haphazard, especially at the weekend. Sometimes I had to go and ask for coffee or hot food because no one came to the table. Getting cereal could be complicated due to not being able to serve yourself. One day I was given a packet of muesli by one person, then a second person brought a bowl and spoon to the table, and a third person brought the milk! The next day just one person opened the packet, poured it into the bowl and poured the milk for me. A bit more organisation would have been useful.
All in all though, we had a great time and would recommend the Cornaro.
A couple of tips for visiting Split: If you need to get cash you will find more ATMs in a small area than you've ever seen, however most of them charge about 35 kuna per withdrawal. You need to use one run by a bank to avoid this, the nearest to the hotel is just around the corner and is labelled "Optbanka." Secondly, if you want a really good ice cream I recommend the cafe Luka which is in a square behind the Croatian National Theatre, just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

This hotel is in a great location in Split with beautiful rooms and good AC but staff could use a refresher on how to give their guests a better experience.
From check in and all throughout my stay of 3 total days I had issues. Came to check in early on conference center side and my passport was requested. I gave them my passport as well as my spouse’s and was told my room was not ready but please check back at 2 pm, which was check in time. We were told our room number, went to lunch, left our luggage and came to other side of hotel where our room would be at 2 pm. At that desk , I was told, your room is ready but we need to see your passport so we can check you in! Unclear what I had just done on the other side of hotel just hours ago?!
We get our room, I call for an iron later and it never comes up. I go to the spa in the hotel for a massage and when I come back I call the front desk again to ask for an iron and I’m told “sorry, there are no more irons available. But if it’s an emergency, please leave it in the laundry bag and we’ll send it out to get done for you”. Not for free I’m sure.
The last straw was the next night after going to dinner, walking around old town, dripping with sweat in the sweltering heat-we come to the room and call for ice. Because we just want a cold glass of water, nothing on minibar is even close to being cold. They tell my husband “I’m sorry, we are out of ice!” That was at 10 pm when roof bar is open till 11!! I got back on the phone and asked them if they were joking and literally said is the bar upstairs done serving? Do you make the ice or have it delivered? When they said they have an ice machine I told them to bring the ice whenever it was made and they did finally!
This is not 3,4 or 5 star service. I made sure my travel agency new my experience and im sure I will not be returning.

Great hotel. This is our second time to stay at this hotel in Split. The rooms, location and staff are all great. We were anxious travelling due to COVID-19 but this hotel were a great example of how things should be done.
Sanitisers everywhere, we were provided with masks and gloves as needed. Breakfast in the courtyard was waiter service and was wonderful.
The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because the opening hours for the roof bar seem limited 5-11pm. It’s nice to return to the hotel after dinner and enjoy a few drinks as residents. The bar has a great view over the old town. We did manage to get drinks beyond 11 pm but it was a fairly tough negotiation.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good quality hotel in a great location and in the current climate it is very well adapted to protect the safety of its guests and staff.

Stayed here for 4 nights June 22 for our Wedding Anniversary. I booked a package holiday which included a Comfort Room. I emailed the hotel in advance to ask for a room on the quiet side of the hotel and if there was a possibility of upgrading upon arrival as we were celebrating our Anniversary.
We were upgraded to a superior city view room on the 4th floor upon arrival free of charge, not sure how this differs to the comfort room I booked? Room was quite small but spotlessly clean, City views were obscured by the large building opposite. Room was very noisy and even with windows closed if was difficult to get a good nights sleep.
The staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast which was included, was amazing and cooked fresh to order. Plenty of local foods, fruits and pastries also available on the buffet choice.
We did not eat in the hotel of an evening as the hotel is located 2 minutes from Diocletians Palace where you will find an array of Restaurants and Bars. We did have a drink in the hotel, however it was very quiet and not much of an atmosphere.
The roof top terrace was a disappointment- it seemed only part open. The bar was not set up and drinks were brought up from downstairs. No cushions out on the furniture, no music and no atmosphere. Work was taking place also to the plunge pool, which we were unaware of so unfortunately this was out of use.

We had an easy type booking (Marina in reservations was wonderful) but that is where it ended. The hotel is in a wonderful location and has a very nice breakfast but my view room was VERY loud and being on the 5th floor was an awful location (asked for a quiet location) because I heard furniture being moved around in the middle of the night. I told the front desk and they said it wasn't possible but it happened two nights in a row and it must have been from the rooftop bar. I was moved to a different room for my 3rd night but after 2 nights of little sleep it was too late. The front desk was never very helpful to us and one employee didn't even know which way to the water. When we checked out we were not asked how everything was or even thanked for staying at the hotel. ZERO service, I was not recommend staying here. Look into Judita Palace Heritage Hotel (inside walls looks wonderful) or Hotel Park Split which is 7 minutes uphill but has a pool and may be a quieter location. I wish I had chosen Hotel Park Split in hopes they had better service.
