Stayed with a friend as a treat to end our Interrail trip. It is a bit out of the centre, quite a hike with our bags, but the room was really nice, high quality, and also an excellent and relaxing pool area. The walk down to the town and nearby restaurants and supermarkets wasn't bad either. Really enjoyed the sauna and gym facilities. We were also kindly allowed access to the pool even after checkout, and the staff were great with our questions. The breakfast was also excellent and staff were friendly here too. I'd definitely stay again, but just be aware of the location in relation to the beach and the sights in Split, as it is a bit of a trek!
In the main exactly what you would expect of a 4 star hotel. If you don’t want the walk in/out of town the number 18 bus is cheap and goes ever 20 mins or so. There are some nice restaurants at the marina - nearer than town - directly to south of hotel. Breakfast not so good for vegetarians! And choice more limited that other similar hotels we’ve been to. No milk provided in rooms for coffee/teas so we took a glass full from breakfast each day. My main problem was the pool temperature- the notice by the pool steps said 24-28 degrees. But the temperature sheets taken by staff showed just 14-19. I did raise the issue but got no where. Sadly it was far too cold for me to swim which did impact on the enjoyment of my holiday.
Great location and good hotel close to split old town. We were upgraded to the Fortuna suite on the sixth floor which is massive! Clean spacious rooms and helpful staff. Amazing sun terrace on 7th floor with sun beds, infinity pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna plus gym. The old city is a slow 20 minute walk or a 45 Kuna/£6 Uber ride, recommend Uber over taxis who often only take cash and their price varies. The breakfast is very Croatian so don’t an American or English breakfast. Lots of ham, cheese and bread plus grilled vegetables and spicy sausage. They do make omelettes and there is cereal and croissants. At busy times they run out of things and not always in a hurry to replace them. There ran out of glasses for juice at 9.30 and coffee in a big urn. There just said casually we will make more in 15 minutes and wash up some glasses soon. Most Croatian hotels do breakfast like this so don’t expect more from other hotels. Would certainly recommend this hotel to explore Split, i have stayed in five star hotels worst than this four star accommodation.…
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff were super helpful, especially those by the pool and working in the breakfast bar! Speaking of breakfast, it was delicious and we were so glad we included it in our stay- they even had gluten free bread for my partner. Everything was so clean and well presented. The rooftop pool/sun lounger area is very nice and relaxed, we spent a lot of time there. The only slight drawback is that the hotel is slightly out from the old town- but the 15 minute walk wasn’t bad at all and Ubers are very quick and cheap in Split. Overall, couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re visiting Split- the price is very cheap for the high quality experience!
Arrived late at night due to late flight arrival to find we had been upgraded to a suite. Nice surprise. Very comfortable with lovely terrace and view. Very comfortable super king sized bed. Breakfast was excellent and more than adequate with the usual offerings plus an omelette station. Great location just 20 minutes walk to the Old Town or the nearest beach, but who would want to leave the fab rooftop pool and bar with William the super bartender preparing drinks? Hotel is right on the 18 bus route that can take you either to the old town (if you don't want to walk) or in the opposite direction to the Mall of Split with three floors of retail and designer shops. All hotel staff friendly and competent, especially William the bartender. Drinks list could be expanded a little though and whoever made the Margarita (not William) in the Dining room needs to realise you make it with Tequila and not Gin! Nevertheless, highly recommended. Would be happy to stay there again.…
I had booked a week at this very nice Hotel, and was looking forward to visiting from the 12th of July. Unbeknownst to me at the time of booking, SAS Pilots where planning strike, and sadly for us it went into effect a week before travelling. SAS was complletely impossible to work with, and could give no information and offered no rebooking until pretty much last minute (and then it was too late, no flights to be had), and at the moment of writing this, they still have to refund my flight tickets. When i booked the hotel, i booked it as nonrefundable (maybe stupid of me, but you know, I have never had to refund any travel before ), so I thought I was going to loose all my money on the Hotel. But!!! I wrote them end explained the situation, and was so extremely lucky that they run a pretty incredible establishment with amazing service, and they refunded all my money no problem and no questions asked. Not only that, but the money was back on my account the day after the refund was made. Thank you so much Andrea and Dioklecijan, You saved me a lot of grief. You did not have to do this, but your did and I am eternally greatful. Will definitely be visiting you next summer !! Much Love from Denmark !!…
Stayed for 2 nights in mid-June. Wow, what a lovely place. I had a hot 20-25-min schlepp (with a rolling bag) from the bus station to reach this place. But, it was worth it! The rooftop pool, jaccuzzi and the lounging/sunbathing ares are wonderful. The views are great and ambience is cool, even when it's hot out :-). I booked late and paid about $220-$240/night. But... for that, I was given a 2-bedroom top floor apartment with two balconies and a living room. A bit of a waste since I was alone. Still, it was spotless and well-appointed. The breakfast (served buffet style) was very nice, not lavish, but very good nonetheless. Reception not super-friendly, but pleasant enough and efficient. Lobby bar area is attractive and seems fun in the evening but I didn't sample it. There is a convenient super-market in the same building, plus an outdoor cafe'. The walk to the center (palace) is about 15-20 mins, mostly gentle downhill.…
Stayed for 7 nights. The hotel is away from the main areas of the old town (15-20 mins walk) and Bacvice beach (10-15 mins walk). The real downside is the uphill walk back to the hotel (but the No.18 bus goes past so could use that instead). The hotel is next to a supermarket and there are a couple of local bars nearby but that is about it. It is located in a residential area. Lunch in the hotel was good, on the occasion we used it, but we always dined out in the Old Town. The breakfast was limited and by the end of the week they had run out of Ceylon Breakfast tea bags which they didn't seem to bother to replace for the last two days (a huge inconvenience for me as I don't drink coffee or flavoured teas). And this sort of summed up the hotel for me. It just doesn't have the attention to customer service that it needs. In fact, we came back to the hotel one evening to find that our room had not been serviced at all. We agreed that we could make our own bed so we told reception what had happened and that we just needed fresh towels and toilet rolls. We said we would wait in the bar and have a drink whilst sorted. When we went back to reception, the receptionist told us to we would have to wait another hour as she had been busy dealing with a customer then she would send them up to the room. No sorry, no nothing! Needless to say, we did not leave reception until we had the requisite supplies. There seems to be a lack of understanding of the concept of customer service by some staff whereas others are really great and very helpful. On the plus side, hotel has: great views of the mountains and sea; the pool and pool area are absolutely gorgeous; rooms really clean and comfortable; nice outside seating areas on the 2nd and ground floor and plenty of indoor space if weather not good. Overall, I probably would use the hotel again (but bring my own tea bags, just in case!)…
This is a great hotel friendly and helpful staff great clean rooms, nice atmosphere all around the hotel great for a chill out with the pool and spa. Not a bad walk to the old town and a short walk to the marina where the atmosphere is more Croatian.
Stayed at this hotel for a week and it was just great, it was absolutely spotless and the staff were very friendly, the rooftop swimming pool and lounging are lovely, breakfast was nice and not overly complicated to which I really enjoyed, this hotel is in a nice area from downtown Split, but you can easily walk to the old town in about 20 mins
