We stayed here for one night as a family of four. The hotel is about 1km from the centre of Split in a mainly residential area dominated by high rise blocks of flats.

The hotel is very clean and tidy and ticks the boxes by having all of the facilities you might need for a short stay. The rooftop swimming pool and bar area is compact, but perfectly fine if you just want to have a quick dip and get a nice pic. There are also a few running machines and free weights in the rooftop gym if you are that way inclined.

The ground floor bar looked ok but when we tried to order a cocktail in the evening the bar guy said he didn't make them. I had the feeling he was near the end of his shift.

We reserved what was described as a 'two bedroom suite' for us and our two young children so that we could be in the same space together. We ended up with two double rooms next door to each other. The rooms were nice enough and had a small balcony but they didn't interconnect, so we had to sleep with one adult in each room which wasn't ideal. This was disappointing when we spent more than £320 to stay for one night and chose the hotel because of the family suite option.

Breakfast service was good and was split into two shifts to manage numbers and social distancing.

The hotel has all of the elements to be excellent, but it just needs to focus more on its customers to get there.

This hotel is very well prepared for the current global challenge - the pandemic. They are very strict in complying health protocols for covid-19 safety. Rooms are equiped with hygiene kits and you will feel safe and have peace of mind that it is well sanitized . But what I enjoyed the most is the location of the Hotel and view from my room. I feel relaxed even if I was doing some field works while on staycation. All of the staff serve and treat guests to the best of their abilities efficiently. The bright smiles and the friendly gestures of the team will make you feel the most welcome.
If you want to witness the majestic colors of sunset while chillin' and eating your heart out, this is the place for you.

The rooms are lovely and of a style that Western travelers will find familiar and comfortable. The rooftop pool is lovely and the spa setup is terrific. It's a bit like a Hilton or Wyndham in the United States. Every staff member we interacted with was ceaselessly friendly, kind, and hard-working. The thing was, they seem to be on a skeleton crew. Aestheticians from the spa serve you drinks, maids attend the café. Everyone seems to work everywhere wearing many hats. We really felt for them as they were all terrific people who seemed stretched thin.

The two notable negatives would be the location and the restaurant.

The location: while this is a *nice* hotel and everything within it is lovely, it is in a decidedly unglamorous residential area, filled with worn 20th century concrete buildings heavily tagged with graffiti. We never felt unsafe (it's a worn-looking working class neighborhood, not a dangerous one) but we had to take cabs and Uber a fair ways away to find anything good to eat or do. it is nice to have a market at ground level though.

The restaurant: not exactly *bad* per se, just priced at American hotel restaurant prices (which are high for the area) and pretty uninspired/bland. The food may be the way it is because the facility also serves as a retirement home (notice the old ladies in the front of the restaurant at reserved tables every meal) and as a recovery hotel/spa for medical tourists. Enjoy your breakfast (which is solid) and go elsewhere for lunch and dinner. And go somewhere else for late night drinks unless you have a lot of time to kill, as evening service in the downstairs café moves at a positively glacial pace. (We got the feeling the poor woman getting our drinks was having to go to the second floor restaurant to get... pretty much everything. Others we sat near gave up and walked out. lovely server, she just was not set up for success.)

Despite the last two points, I'd recommend the place, with a few caveats: don't eat at the restaurant; skip the café entirely, and don't get your hopes up for the neighborhood. Just enjoy the rooms and pool and the company of the staff, who are all very nice. If you can't find something closer to the Riva/Old Town, or you just want something in a lower key area, it may be a fit if the pricing is right.

Stayed for 7 nights. The hotel is away from the main areas of the old town (15-20 mins walk) and Bacvice beach (10-15 mins walk). The real downside is the uphill walk back to the hotel (but the No.18 bus goes past so could use that instead). The hotel is next to a supermarket and there are a couple of local bars nearby but that is about it. It is located in a residential area. Lunch in the hotel was good, on the occasion we used it, but we always dined out in the Old Town. The breakfast was limited and by the end of the week they had run out of Ceylon Breakfast tea bags which they didn't seem to bother to replace for the last two days (a huge inconvenience for me as I don't drink coffee or flavoured teas). And this sort of summed up the hotel for me. It just doesn't have the attention to customer service that it needs. In fact, we came back to the hotel one evening to find that our room had not been serviced at all. We agreed that we could make our own bed so we told reception what had happened and that we just needed fresh towels and toilet rolls. We said we would wait in the bar and have a drink whilst sorted. When we went back to reception, the receptionist told us to we would have to wait another hour as she had been busy dealing with a customer then she would send them up to the room. No sorry, no nothing! Needless to say, we did not leave reception until we had the requisite supplies. There seems to be a lack of understanding of the concept of customer service by some staff whereas others are really great and very helpful. On the plus side, hotel has: great views of the mountains and sea; the pool and pool area are absolutely gorgeous; rooms really clean and comfortable; nice outside seating areas on the 2nd and ground floor and plenty of indoor space if weather not good. Overall, I probably would use the hotel again (but bring my own tea bags, just in case!)

We arrived on the 18th of August early morning (about 10am) and our room wasn’t ready yet but the hotel staff gave us full access to all the hotel’s amenities while they prepared our room.
The hotel was clean and fully equipped with hand sanitiser at almost every turn.
The hotel is about a twenty minute walk from the old town through one of the local neighbourhoods - a relatively straight forward, safe journey with bars and shops along the way. There is a coffee shop linked to the hotel, as well as a mini market and a small bar about a thirty second walk round the corner.

The hotel provided everything we could’ve needed and we were very grateful for the service and attention we received throughout our stay.

We had a slight issue with our balcony door which was fixed almost immediately, but then recurred a few days later and we had to move rooms but this wasn’t a massive issue and the hotel were very apologetic.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay and would stay here again if we go back to Split.

Premier inn with sun, and terrace pool area.
Delightful roof top terrace with pool area, enclosed sauna and steam room. The gym is located (on the terrace behind glass windows) in full sun!
The breakfast/pool/bar staff across the board are highly accommodating and there the help and please.
Room service was appalling, waiting +45 mins for ice (swollen ankle from bites) and still never received even after we left for dinner out!
Questionable over ‘fresh’ tuna/octopus/steak given that hotel restaurant was empty most nights!
For a 4* hotel one does not expect frayed towels, merely 4’x2’ thin layers!
MUST use the supermarket below the hotel - for the €45 bottle of wine costs €4 in the shop - scandalous!
Perfect location away from hubbub of hotels, a good 20 mins uphill at the end of the day is a bit of a killer tho!

Great location and good hotel close to split old town. We were upgraded to the Fortuna suite on the sixth floor which is massive! Clean spacious rooms and helpful staff. Amazing sun terrace on 7th floor with sun beds, infinity pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna plus gym. The old city is a slow 20 minute walk or a 45 Kuna/£6 Uber ride, recommend Uber over taxis who often only take cash and their price varies. The breakfast is very Croatian so don’t an American or English breakfast. Lots of ham, cheese and bread plus grilled vegetables and spicy sausage. They do make omelettes and there is cereal and croissants. At busy times they run out of things and not always in a hurry to replace them. There ran out of glasses for juice at 9.30 and coffee in a big urn. There just said casually we will make more in 15 minutes and wash up some glasses soon. Most Croatian hotels do breakfast like this so don’t expect more from other hotels. Would certainly recommend this hotel to explore Split, i have stayed in five star hotels worst than this four star accommodation.

The hotel is in a very good location with an easy walk to the Old Town & Diocletian Palace (wonderful but very crowded with lots of tour parties) and also the beach (not worth going to, pretty horrible).
We only stayed for 3 nights and unfortunately the weather was poor with rain showers so we didn't have the opportunity to use the pool area during our stayed which was a shame.
The room was very spacious with a huge bed and plenty storage & wardrobe space. It was well furnished with everything you could possibly need. The bathroom was modern, clean and had a great shower. We were on the 5th floor and there was also a balcony overlooking part of the modern town - somewhere to sit at night and enjoy a drink but the view wasn't the best (just lots of apartment blocks).
Breakfast in the lovely dining room was fairly limited and some items ran out fairly quickly but it was adequate, the staff for breakfast were very nice and served good quality tea & coffee.
There's a supermaket immediately below the hotel which was convenient to pick up the odd bottle of wine or snacks.
Underground parking is available at 13 Euro per days so it's convenient if you have a hire car (which we did).
I'd stop again if I return to Split.

Just had a very nice stay at this beautiful hotel. Rooms are great, and the rooftop pool/lounge/jacuzzi area is fantastic with stunning views of the sea, city and mountains.
We can highly recommend staying here. It’s located a 15 min walk from the main beaches and 15 min walk from downtown, and has a charming café in front.

Excellent hotel all round. Good location with views of the city and port!
Very impressed with the early check in service. Bags dropped, lift and pool towel card handed out and off to the roof top pool, decking and bar facilities. Excellent way to start my wind down after being on a boat for two weeks.
Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff in all areas of the hotel.
Highly recommended.

We did this route earlier in the year and it was very easy, basically we just followed the signs for Split along the Ivana Pavla II. Very easy and it took less than 30 minutes. Finding our hotel once we were in Split took a bit longer!
Answer from DLHV D
Hello, We don't have an all-inclusive offer (with unlimited drinks and food), but we do offer a half-board or a full-board option. It is absolutely possible for you to upgrade, and you can decide when you arrive. Regarding the menu, our restaurant is a la carte for lunch and dinner, and there are some seasonal changes to it. You can check it out upon your arrival or send us an email for more details. Hope this helps! Best Regards, Your Dioklecijan Hotel & Residence Team
