I stayed at Hotel Princess in January 2023 for three days with my mom and my closest aunts. We stayed in two apartments and were absolutely amazed by the hotel, its amenities and especially the hotel staff. LOCATION: The hotel is located in Babin kuk, a great area in Dubrovnik, on a great walking path. Royal Princess is part of hotel chain located next to each other and you can use amenities from all hotels. When we stayed, only Hotel Princess was open and we used its amenities which was more than enough. AMENITIES: The hotel has a nice spa area with a few saunas, a small pool with warm water and a gym. RESTAURANT: The food was great, with very nice options for dinner and with great variety for breakfast. STAFF: The staff in this hotel is absolutely AMAZING! I've stayed in hotels around the world but this was by far the best experience with the staff I ever had. They were so kind, and so helpful that four of us were absolutely amazed. Special shout out to Luka from the restaurant who made our dinners and breakfasts very pleasant, a very kind young man. But also the rest of the staff, all of them were great and made our stay great, so great that, in fact, we decided to back very soon. Thank you Royal Princess and we look forward coming back very soon.…
Myself, husband and 9 year old lad stayed here bed and breakfast for for a week in the October half term. It was a different kind of holiday than what we normally go on but we enjoyed it all the same. We did a lot of sight seeing and was always on the go. We had a lovely big suite but didn’t get a sea view as they were sold out, this is my only gripe Beautiful hotel and very clean, breakfast was OK and there was always something to eat. We ate and drank in a couple of the restaurants in the resort which were on the pricey side but nice and tasty, however it is a 5 star in a city so we expected that. There are five hotels on this resort, and all of the facility’s are available to you. There must have been about 10 pools indoor and outdoor and a few lovely spas, there were nice areas to sit and chill out in too. It’s just a 10 minute walk up the coastal path into Lapad where most of the bars and restaurants are. We were lucky as we had a week of unusually warm 25 degrees. it’s quite near most things In Dubrovnic and close to the transport links. On our last night the resort manager (Tom I think ). came and spoke to us and had cocktails sent over which was nice and promised us a nice sea view upgrade when we return. I definitely would return here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who’s thinking of going to Dubrovnik…
We stayed at the Royal Princess in August 2022. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. Firstly the rooms were lovely - we had a sea view and it was just beautiful. The hotel is situated in a resort of sister hotels and you can use all the pools. While we were there is was extremely hot and sometimes we used the indoor pool which was a saviour. It was attached to the spa so you would be mindful of not having young children in it. The only negative I would say about this hotel is the breakfast set up. It is way too small - everyone packed into an average size room and quality and range were extremely poor. There was no 'grill' as it were for eggs or omelettes and it was not made clear that these could be ordered from the inside kitchen. I was really stunned at the set up and on our first morning at breakfast I was taken aback and upset that we had paid for 5 star price. Seriously the management of the hotel would really need to work on this and expand the area. At the rear of the hotel, walk left for a fabulous walk along the coast and pass all the restaurants. There is one restaurant where we ate almost nightly and that was the More restaurant. We discovered it be chance and lucky enough to get a reservation. Food and service were excellent and I still dream of their steak. Make a reservation because I saw numerous people being turned away - always full which says it all! We did the City Wall tour - do it early morning before the crowds. Absolutely stunning and what a beautiful city. I would highly recommend Lokrum island - 15 minutes ferry tour. This was absolutely magical. Bring your swim gear as mostly all were dipping into the sea water and the lake on the island. Beautiful monastery there with peacocks all around. There is an outdoor restaurant too. You won't be disappointed.…
We stayed October half term break as a family of four (children aged 13 and 11). We were lucky to have had sunshine and warm temperatures (20-22°c) everyday. Here are all the things we loved about our stay..... - Location. The hotel is connected to the centre of Lapad via a scenic promenade. It's a beautiful 10-15 minute walk with opportunities for stops on the rocks or cave bar along the way. - Our room. We had a sea view suite with a bedroom, two bathrooms and lounge/kitchen, with a good sofa bed and balcony. The views were stunning. - The breakfast. It was excellent, varied and copious. - The staff. They were without exception friendly and helpful. A particular mention to Luka who showed us to our room. He was so lovely and gave us lots of tips for visits and making the most of our holiday. -The 'complex'. We would usually shy away from a multi-hotel large scale operation but it was lovely to be able to visit the different pools and facilities. The traffic free promenade connected them and because it was October it was quiet and relaxing. Top Tips ..... - The sea view rooms are worth paying extra for. - Ubers are cheap and easy to get from everywhere. Save money on the cable car and get an uber- the views are just as good or even better (and you can just have drinks at the Panorama!) - We got a ferry to Lopud island and spent the day on a sandy beach. It gave us more freedom than a 'trip'. …
Visited as a half board guest in half term 2022 and was shocked by the behaviour and attitude of the staff at the restaurant. They were very unhelpful and not accommodating of any requests we had. They were not flexible at all. The menu was the same for the whole week and there were very limited options. For half board guests they treat you like you are eating free of charge and try and send you to other restaurants. They also would remove cutlery from our plates to ensure they don’t need to bring us some new ones.Really not happy about this considering I paid so much.
I rceenctly had the opportunity to stay at this 5 star resort and had to share my gratitude for the above and beyond service i received. As i was hosting VIP guests it was important to ensure many activities and services on a short schedule and the Royal Princess staff and guest relations did not disappoint. They efficiently and promptly arranged prime seatings at dubrovnik’s (Old Town & Resort) restaurants, bookings for excursions and tours were handled with ease and added to an already exceptional accommodation that is the Royal Princess Resort & Spa. From Check in to check out and beyond, including a last minute friendly helping hand when the Manager of the hotel managed to service our vehicle to get is back on the road! Highly recommend this property for its location, facilities, and above all staff!…
Currently staying at this hotel. Booked as Jet2 package at Royal Palm but given unannounced "upgrade" to 2 room, 2 bathroom suite in Royal Princess. Rooms very faded grandeur style, lots of dark, mismatched furniture and soft furnishings reminiscent of that on display in the home of an elderly aunt or in a traditional UK Indian restaurant . All very tired and in need of upgrade. Nothing like any of the marketing images that led us to booking this holiday. WiFi poor so using lots of data. Breakfast offerings (buffet) so far pretty sub par- hot food luke warm 4 days running, watery OJ, ropey coffee. Customers slicing their own bread off a loaf or baguette is a complete no no but happens every day- yuk. Some of the restaurant/bar staff staff stressed and surly. Younger staff work hard, particular mention to young Canadian waiter who has been great and has perfect customer service style- major asset!! Zoe restaurant very good, staff lovely and perfect sunset venue. Reception team very polite and helpful. Cleaning staff lovely. We should have asked to move to the room we thought we were getting (luxury king sea view with balcony) but having unpacked, being too polite and initially thinking this was an upgrade, haven't - in current times, these are very much first world complaints. Plenty of sunbed space in September. Views are the best thing about this hotel, absolutely stunning. …
On arrival at the Royal Princess Hotel, we were given a very warm and informative and very friendly check in. We were shown to our room which was a beautiful Suite with private balcony overlooking the beautiful Sea views. Our suite was beautiful and spotless clean with all the amenities and indeed very spacious and extremely comfortable.
Beautiful hotel, tasteful decor, amazing facilities and super friendly staff. We stayed for 7 nights and did not want to leave. There were 9 pools to choose from, lots of sun loungers and parasols with free towels to help yourself to. Our room was massive with 2 bathrooms and a balcony. Lots of space for us all. The breakfast was delicious every morning with slight variations, complete with endless Prosecco if that’s what you fancy at 9.30am!! The staff at breakfast were efficient and friendly., and busy! The staff on reception were so helpful and full of local knowledge. They even advised us on what to do after my daughter was stung by an urchin. (The women wore really gorgeous uniforms too, very chic!!) The layout of the beach/sunbathing areas was gorgeous, lots of different levels and areas to relax right by the sea built into the natural rocks. Just gorgeous. Azure coloured crystal clear sea which was amazing to snorkel in and look at all the fish. The kids loved it. Wear beach shoes tho as there are urchins. 10 min stroll to Lapad on the gorgeous promenade which we did every day. No. 6 bus into Dubrovnik was pretty regular from right by the hotel. Fabulous place would be back in a heartbeat!…
This is our third time at the Royal Princess and it did not disappoint. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, great food and the perfect location. Our check in and check out was seamless, thanks to Marija at the front desk. Truly appreciate the vegetarian options at the restaurants. Cocktails at Blue Sky Lounge is a must with panoramic views of the Adriatic. This hotel has the very best sunset views, great way to end the day. Our family had a wonderful time and we can’t wait to go back.
