I booked this hotel back in June for 3 nights as a surprise for my mum's birthday present. I originally booked a classic room but then realised I wanted to upgrade after reading reviews on here. I was in direct contact with a woman called Zrinka at the Adriactic head office and we passed many emails-she knew this was also...

A beautiful hotel within easy walking distance of the old city walls. Fantastic service from the staff and wonderful views from the sea view rooms. Even at the end of October the sun terrace was hot enough and if brave a swim in the sea was most welcome. If you can find a deal on the internet it is great...

Recently stayed here with my partner for 4 nights. I cannot fault the hotel or the staff. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable and nothing too much trouble. Try and book a room above 5th floor as they have unobstructed views as we did. My favourite thing was sitting on our balcony early evening watching the most amazing sunsets. Easy walk into...

We booked here as a 3-night package deal. I must admit, as we were travelling mid-October, I didn't really think about it having sea access and an outside pool, but as the weather was so very warm, we made use of both of them, the sea was warmer than the outside pool and as clear as crystal. There was an...

Worth every penny. Absolutely glorious accomodation, pool/sunbathing area is perfect with a breathtaking view of the old town and lokrum island. Walk into the old town is decent but not a deal breaker although it is uphill on the way back! One of the greatest spots we have stayed!

We’ve just spent a delightful week at the Grand Villa Argentina, staying in a sea room view on the third floor. The room had a Juliet balcony with a lovely view over the sea, the Island of Lokrum and towards the old town of Dubrovnik. As the hotel is surrounded by attractive cedar and pine trees some of the view...

The hotel is very clean and well maintained with beautiful grounds that you must explore, there was a very good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast, with an additional menu on the tables. We asked for smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for a birthday breakfast which was very nicely presented. Dinner in the restaurants were very good and...

This hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the old town. Two options: either you stay in the old town (inside the city walls) or you stay of the city walls and in that case this hotel is a very good option. Keep the following in mind. The hotel has two old villas (villa argentina and villa ursula). In between...

The hotel is ideally situated, just a short walk from the Old Town. The vista's are superb looking along the coast; across to the island of Lockram (peacocks and rabbits all over the place); and back toward the walled city. If you are lucky and get room 738, you will not be disappointed, although I believe all of the rooms...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Grand Villa Argentina is Dubrovnik’s traditional luxury address, combining exclusivity and attention to detail with spectacular views of the sea, backdropped by pine tree-clad mountains. This five-star hotel in Dubrovnik has a regal, old-world charm. Just minutes from the Old Town, it has been an exclusive enclave in the city for nearly 60 years. Sitting on a steep cliffside, leading down to the sea, the views of the Adriatic stretch from the island of Lokrum round to the old harbour of Dubrovnik. As soon as you walk into the hotel reception, the incredible scenery stops you in your tracks. Lush gardens, with stone fences and secluded corners in which to sit, are filled with lemon, wild orange, rosemary, lavender and bay leaf plants – the flavours of a Mediterranean kitchen. Whether you’re sunbathing on the private beach, with its seaside pool, dining on the restaurant terraces or quietly reading your book in the gardens, spectacular scenery follows you wherever you go. ... more   less
