This is a friendly 3-star hotel. The sea view rooms are great, with a balcony and they look out over the pool too. Breakfast is fine, they have a wide enough selection and we ate there happily for a week. The place is very clean, and the reception staff were helpful with advising on local walks and the Dubrovnik Card...

From the moment we arrived, we were made extremely welcome and over the course of our week there we got to know the hotel's kind and friendly staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The room was kept clean and pristine with easy access to the poolside, which had a nice view of the mountains. The food was delicious...

The Kindness and availability of front office guys specially Matko. The Hotel was not very clean, very old decoration, old CRT Television, bed sheets and towels with holes. Breakfast was pretty much always the same… no diversity at all, Dinner service is from 19.00h till 21.00h but 20 minutes before you'll find it difficult to find some food in the...

Stayed at the Komodor for a week in May 2015 as a party of 3 couples. The Hotel is an excellent unpretentious base, well located and well served with bus links to Dobrovnik old time. The rooms are comfortable, the restaurant and food is good (not 'fine dining' but perfectly acceptable). Public areas are similarly comfortable , clean and adequate,...

This small 3* hotel has everything for a successful holiday. A lovely location just 2 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. We paid just £626 for 2 weeks with Thompson's and could not have been more pleased. The staff are as friendly as anywhere and very helpful. We were given a room at the front of the hotel overlooking...

We have just returned from a lovely week in Lapad. Komodor is in an excellent location in easy reach of Dubrovnik old town. The hotel is clean, the staff are efficient and helpful and there's a pleasant pool area.

After travelling for 30 some hours we arrived at Hotel Komodor to find a sign on the door indicating that they were closed and that our reservation had been moved to a hotel up the street. Although I've given this review three stars, it should only realistically, be two and a half. That may seem harsh reading what I first have to say, but bear with me. First the good bit - the staff are excellent, from reception (how many staff in the UK have a working knowledge of five additional languages?), diligent and friendly cleaners,...
