We stayed at the Villa Malo More apartments next door. The apartment was incredible. Spacious, comfortable and an unbeatable balcony and unobstructed 180 degree views. Having a pool to ourselves also was great. Unfortunately our 6 night stay didn't start or end well. We had a one bedroom apartment with a pull out couch. At about 10 pm the first evening when we prepared for bed we realised we didn't have extra bedding for the couch. There were extra pillows but no sheet or duvet. We called the front desk to make a request and they said it wasn't possible. This is something I don't like to hear when making a reasonable request at a supposed 5 star hotel and spending a decent amount of money. They said their maids had all gone home, however we were fully aware there was a closet somewhere with what we were asking for and offered to come to the front desk (in another building) to pick it up. Still no. After some debate they said they'd call us back. Ten minutes later they rang us back to let us know that the maid would be coming from home to bring us bedding. First, the comment was unnecessary and second, if that was the case the hotel needs better management. The lovely lady turned up shortly thereafter. She was very pleasant without the attitude of the front desk and we apologised and tipped her for her trouble. Then day 4 my travel companion got food poisoning from breakfast at the hotel. We went to Bosnia for the day and then on return to a bay for fresh oysters. By noon she was feeling a bit ill not sure what it was, and by late afternoon she was laying on the floor of the boat unable to move. We had to cut the trip short to get her back to the hotel. Our poor driver was so concerned for her as she started vomiting off the side of the jetty. By the evening I was concerned we were going to have to get her to a doctor. In the morning things had improved a bit and the worst was behind her. We let the front desk know just so they'd be aware of what was likely a hygiene issue in the kitchen with a staff member. We deduced it had to have been from the fruit she ate. The two employees working were nice, and apologetic and took our information down to inform their manager. We didn't expect anything but a call from the manager to check in would've been well received and is the level of service I would've expected. I would have liked to rate the hotel higher and had these incidents not happened it would have been a great experience. But unfortunately they made no effort to turn it around.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel! To start with, on the day arriving, room wasn't clean. Got hair left in Bathroom, and dirty pillow case. Tea and coffee for room need to be requested from reception. Hotel entrance from ground level shut at 22.00. And if you want to get into the hotel after this time, you would either walk up some very steep steps about 200m down the road, or go all the way around the main street properly will take an hour. If your room is on the 8th level, then you won't have an lift on your side of building to go downstairs. You need to walk across the car park and get to the other wing. For a 5 star hotel, breakfast is boring, food quality is ok. Have stayed in many hotels in my life, this is definitely not 5 stars!

We stayed here overnight prior to boarding a small yacht for an island cruise. Beautiful property, just be prepared to read the floor-plan maps to find your way around! ; ) The staff is very kind and attentive; there are two restaurants and three hotel bars including the really cool Cave Bar down at the water level. The rooms were nicely appointed with comfortable beds. They aren’t providing in-room coffee yet (Covid) but they had an AMAZING breakfast buffet, with eggs- and coffee-to-order, mimosas and endless sweet and savory dishes. The only heads up: it is built into a cliff and it’s not all connected at every level. You have to see it to understand, but there are three elevators and they don’t all go to every floor. For example; reception is just below the road at the “7th Floor”. We took one elevator to get to the 5th floor, crossed through a breezeway and parking garage to another elevator. We took that one to our room on the second floor…. From there you can’t take an elevator directly down to the restaurant, “0 Floor” or to the Cave Bar “-2 Floor”. We were there only overnight, and by morning we were starting to find our way around, but we had a few laughs at feeling like “mice in a maze.” It was a little exasperating at times. But the service, views and accommodations were worth it. Plus you can access the promenade walking path around the water, to the beach, into town, etc.

Nice hotel in a great location but a solid 4 star - definitely not a 5 star. Positioned facing west the hotel has great evening views over the bay. The Cave bar operates off a platform right next to the sea on nice sunny days and it’s a lovely place for a sundowner. Or walk along the promenade 5 mins into the Lapad beach area where there are loads of restaurants or there you can grab a cab into the old town for around 10 euros. It is a maze getting around due to the various different lifts but not bad once you get used to it. Breakfast was ok but service is quite slow. Recommend getting a room in the new block. We got 104 in the old block which was spacious but a bit old and tired and strange bars across the balcony which restricted the view.

well I wasn't really looking forward to this holiday - its not really my "thing" but was very pleasantly surprised. the hotel is very unusual being built down a cliff! The views from our balcony (on the 6th floor - 2 levels below the road level if you can get your head around that!) were spectacular to say the least. Spoilt with beautiful sunsets every evening! its perfect location gives you the best views of the bay, islands and sunsets The hotel layout is a bit confusing at the start -we christened it Hotel Maze! but the rooms and facilities are all superb. The only negative we had was the lifts which broke down a few times making getting about a real safari! All the staff were friendly helpful efficient and very willing Access to the "town" is a convenient 5 mins down a waterside promenade -although it can be slippery when wet - I fell and badly hit my head - so good shoe soles advised! All in all a very good hotel with great staff and great location! On a side note - I went diving with Blue Planet Diving and it was the worst dive centre I have ever experienced in 40 years of diving - if you're thinking of diving with them -DON'T!! I will give more details in a review for them.
