Detailed Reviews
We found Falkensteiner Camping online as somewhere cheap to stay after finding cheap flights to Zadar on a last minute getaway. We certainly weren't disappointed! We booked a 2 bedroom mobile home for 4 adults which had a double bed and two single beds, meaning no one had to sleep on the sofa bed.
The mobile homes were lovely, clean and spacious, and the built-in Bluetooth sound system was a bonus. Eating breakfast on the porch in the sun was blissful.
We visited during April and the on-site pool had no water in it. We were told at reception that we could use the facilities (pool, sauna etc) at Club Falkensteiner Hotel just down the road which we did for our whole stay.
Just outside the resort there are small food trucks which serve fresh pastries, pizzas, ice cream, chips etc which was perfect for our breakfast and lunch.
If you ask for a taxi at reception they will ring one for you into old town which costs around 25 kuna.
Overall we were not disappointed and we would definitely stay here again.

The motorhome pitches are well separated and marked. Water and power access on every pitch. Sanitary areas wide and very clean. Good restaurant with few dishes but at high quality. Nice pools, free chairs, stony city beach, campsite accessible through magnetic bracelet. Close to restaurants, bakery and some souvenir shops. Not so far from Zadar center. Polite staff. Clean site. Washing machines (few) and dryers (few) available in sanitary area. Dishwashers as well. Many showers and washbasins. VIP sanitary area. Good market on site.
Pool bar and attractions at pools!
Excellent place for kids and dogs.

Again a very nice location, this time close to Zadar. With bike about 15 minutes to the very nice old town. Camping site is very modern with luxury sanitary and for us just a couple minutes from the beach (blue zone). Pitches are perfect, with electric, water and drain connection. With ASCI only 23€ per night. Very low costs for the quality. We would recommend this and come back again.

Six of us decided to celebrate the NYE at Falkensteiner Premium Mobile Homes and Camping in Zadar. A day before our arrival one of the friends found out that she had to quarantine because she was a close contact. When we were booking the hotel, we were told that they offer a full refund in cases of corona. We called the hotel to cancel our reservation and then the problems started.
First, they said that they couldn't give us our money back because only one of us must quarantine. They didn't understand why others would not come. We told them that the three of us had been in contact with that one girl and there was no point in us travelling and potentially putting their staff and other people at risk. As we predicted, they would have been at risk because four of us had been tested positive a couple of days later.
After that, they offered vouchers which didn't work for us.
Finally, after a lot of back and forths they decided to give us our money back.
The whole saga started a few days before the NYE and we got our money back on the fourth of March.
Beacuse of the fact that they decided to put us through hell with their negotitaions and return policy (not to mention the earthquake that emotionally shook the whole nation), it is a big and forever no no from us.
Good luck with booking this hotel in these crazy pandemic times. They obviously lack empathy and put money first.

First of all, it's not about the premium campsite at all. It´s absolutely overpriced...
Campsite: the individual sites are covered with a layer of gravel (leaving white dust, coating and dirt everywhere). It's almost impossible to fix cords to the awning/tent on them. I recommend packing the tools of an amateur geologist. The absolute majority of campsites are not shaded by trees. There is almost nothing in the campsite. One below average and overpriced restaurant and one pool bar. The hygiene of the showers and toilets was relatively OK - mostly due to the Asian staff. Every morning (around seven) everyone was woken up by a guy with a leaf vacuum cleaner. I watched him chase a few leaves down the sidewalks one morning.
Location: there is almost nothing around the campground. You can walk to Zadar (about 1 hour) or use a taxi. Otherwise location = absolute boredom.
beach: typical Croatian beach. Very small - 1 buffet from 11:30 (they closed quite early in the afternoon). You can choose between concrete or gravel. Entering the sea without shoes is a complete acrobatics. Two hotel sunbeds and an umbrella per day are almost 50 € - let everyone make up their own mind....
Sea: full of garbage in the afternoon... plastic, feathers, feminine hygiene products, grass. To enter the water you have to wade through several meters of this "joy" ...
Staff: Slightly arrogant and rude. But this is part of Croatian culture and traditions ...
Price: EUR 1826 per 5 night (inc. breakfest) and 2 people - own roof tent... I find this price totally inadequate for this campsite, its facilities, quality, service etc.
I know the Falkensteiner Hotels and I'm quite surprised they connected their name with this one ...

+1
Stayed 3 nights in motorhome. Reception were very helpful & friendly. Were upgraded closer to the sea. Hardstanding pitches were
spacious with water, EHU & drain. Plenty of shade from trees. Lovely pool but a bit chilly. Pool bar very nice. Lovely view of sea in evening. Toilets/wash up areas were a very high standard. Direct access to the beach and path to town. Cycled in twice, one way traffic there but against the flow on return. Need lights if coming back in dark. Probably the best site we've stayed at. UK sites should learn from this!
Only negative I can find was the toilet disposal room. Could not find a flush button & the tap & hose came on together so floor got wet. Prefer the German/Slovenian method with a pipe instead of a basin. Would recommend this site and hope to return in the future.

The camp is overall cute, beach is nice, restaurant is ok, service decent. It is WAY overpriced for the experience. The worst part - BE WARNED - they did not spray against mosquitos. You will be eaten alive by mosquitos while sitting outside on the terrace for just 10 minutes, which makes the terrace of any unit, or any outside, unbearable. It is rather common to spray against mosquitos and I suppose this camp is too cheap to spend the money. We all hated the experience after just two days as the mosquitos were unbearable. Overall THUMBS DOWN.

The premium camping at Falkensteiner was absolutely fantastic. The value for money is excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the room was very comfortable. The area is also beautiful. The on-site restaurant, Amore, is great, with delicious food and reasonable prices.
