Waiter was so bad. Never came accross a such bad waiter. We were waiting for one hour and he did not come to our table. Order was not taken. Photo if the waiter is attached. After complaining and i went to bar and did the order.

great location, super clean, great value for the money and very clean and well appointed. All the basic items were provided down to the disposable slippers. The front desk was super responsive via WhatsApp and helpful even prior to my checkin dates and I asked a lot of questions. Our room faced inside the walls so it did get a little loud at night and during the day but if you close the windows and turn on Air Conditioner then it’s not an issue. My only issue was the cigarette smoke in the restaurants but that is common everywhere. It would have been less of an issue if I was able to sit outside but it was raining. But the customer service can’t be beat nicest staff

Our junior suite was spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice-sized bathroom. The view of the bay from the balcony was amazing. Our room was nice and quiet at night, and we were able to walk all over Old Town and around the bay quite easily during the day. I ordered the Fitness Scramble for breakfast, with spinach, feta and tomatoes, and it was soooo good!

The central location of this hotel determines all the pros and cons. If you like staying in an old and atmospheric, nicely decorated building and to walk to all the attractions, this is the place for you. If you dislike noise and old fashioned rooms and you want to park at the door of the hotel, then not. My room (Alpha room) was nice, spacious and the only one with balcony. The breakfast was really good and the restaurant also. They provide you free parking outside the walls, but you have to collect the card from the reception first. The staff was helpful

Great value and prime location (although we went during the off-season, which could easily explain the dip in price). Rooms were decorated nicely and enhanced the old-town feel. Amazing view of the mountain from our room. I would urge folks to bring/purchase earplugs, as the main square below does get quite noisy at night. I did feel service was subpar, and a few of our (valid!) points of feedback were brushed off or met with little to no care by the staff. - 3 power outages - Although we had the “DND” sign on the door, our room was serviced anyway. Minor in the grand scheme of things perhaps, but when I gave feedback to the receptionist, she was hardly apologetic and said, “Most people WANT their room cleaned.” Here’s the thing: I don’t need to justify my reason for putting the “do not disturb” sign up! Simply apologize for the error. - We requested to check out late (1 hour) and offered to pay. We hoped they would let us check out one hour later as a goodwill gesture, but the hotel was firm and unrelenting, insisting their cleaner leaves at 1pm and we needed to vacate the room at the specified time. Generally, most hotels will accommodate a slightly later checkout for a fee. - Weirdly, a double bed but with a single-sized duvet. Again, minor complaints, but historically not what I would expect from a five-star. Overall pros outweigh cons: low cost, clean, centrally located and authentic in its atmospheric feel. I would just caution vacationers to be wary of the above.

On so many levels, the property deserved a 5 rating however one significant issue for us was the employee was unable or unwilling to call in someone to repair the air conditioning for our room making it unbearably hot to try and sleep. The sound rated windows were fantastic and controlling the sound from the very busy small square below our room but obviously did not help our situation. The restaurant associated with the hotel on the other hand was awesome. The hotel is a little hard to find as vehicles obviously do not have access and really do not have an adequate place to pick up or drop off people but have a little patience as old town is really not very big.

Being regularly for business in Kotor Astoria is one of my preferred hotel. But this time were some shortcomings. This time I went there in Winter and being low season there was no receptionist but the night guard and he was not very helpful and not trusted as one night came late and he was not there to open the main door and had to wait for 30 mins outside in the cold and rain. Also there was an issue in my first room with water pressure and was give and upgraded to the loft suite. Suite was fabulous and spacious. I had to leave urgently and cancel the remaining of my stay and very grateful to the manager no issues and got back the money for the days not stayed. Astoria restaurant always a top option and organized a business there and food was excellent and same for service.

Firstly Kotor. Nice, overly polished, overly commercialised, far too busy with cruise ships, very, very expensive, and really rather noisy. The Astoria is in the centre of things and if noise doesn’t bother you then that’s not an issue. We slept wearing noise cancelling headphones and that worked. The room was nice, well designed, but the shower screen was broken, the toilet seat partially detached and the safe didn’t work. Service is good over breakfast, housekeeping is cursory and quite basic but reception was a poor experience throughout our stay. On our last day breakfast ‘wasn’t available’ which given it’s included in the price, is a bit off. I appreciate we were leaving at 7.15 for an 8.00 am car, but an offer of a coffee and croissant could have been made to turn that situation around. This is an expensive hotel and there is a disconnect between offer and price alas.

Great spot, great service, got upgraded to a nice harbour view room, late check out and then when flight delayed were able to sit upstairs and read a book in peace with a coffee. Rooms spacious and good tops it off. Very close to entry of Old Town so not far to drag bags compared to the others .
