Fabulous holiday based at Hotel Vardar. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were lovely.Mine was a little dark as it looked out on to a side street and it could be a little noisy.Only ate that once but that was good too.

Convenient location opposite main gate in Kotor Old Town. The hotel has pretty poor breakfast choice, the bar is badly serviced with no snacks later in the evening to accompany a drink. Staff helpful, Junior Suite was large, modern and had a great bathroom. This place is noisy, intact super noisy with a night club next door until 1am, you... More

As soon as we arrived we were stunned by this marvellous building named Hotel Vardar. The receptionist was very kind and welcoming like the rest of the staff. We mentioned in booking.com that we are on our honeymoon so the hotel upgrade us to the bog suite at the highest floor with a beautiful view- the room was big, clean,... More

Before visiting Montenegro on our current cycling tour I had no idea what to expect. This little walled city has all of the charm of Dubrovnik with fewer tourists and lower prices. Kotor itself is located at the head of a beautiful bay on the Adriatic and surrounded by steep mountains. The Hotel Vardar is a beautifully appointed boutique hotel... More

Probably one of the more expensive hotels in the area. Rooms are surprisingly spacious, quiet and of a high standard. The decor in the rooms looks like, say, a standard Hilton would. The lobby area is a little more confused which adds some of the charm this place needs. The key though is the location within the old walls of... More

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of the Kotor old town. It overlooks the main square after entering through the old town gates. The hotel provides excellent access to the old town shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and entertainment. The room we had was spacious and spotlessly clean although also a little dark. The staff are helpful and the... More

The hotel is not so old, just some 100 years, but it is situated inside the walls, opposite the main gate. It offers free parking (most important in Kotor!) outside the walls, as it is impossible to get inside with the car, so you have to drag your suitcase a bit. Perfect in all aspects

We stayed at Hotel Vardar for a night in the end of August. The location is perfect, just a few steps away from the main gate to the Old Town and it's overlooking a beautiful square. Our room was located on the first floor and was very nice, with a really comfortable bed and a beautiful spacious newly renovated bathroom.... More
