I've stayed at the Boris Palace at least four times since 2010 and I have never had any problem. True, the first time I booked a basement room and Boris Hristov, the owner, told me the wi-fi was not very good there and asked if I wanted to upgrade, but there was nothing untoward about it. I even sent them...

We watched a scene Today were the owner, Boris was extremely arrogant and aggressive to guests. He gave orders to the guests and started to beat when they refused to follow his orders or ask him why he order them. Unheard such attitude by such a dog as owner of a hotel. We wanted to book for 14 days but...

Never been treated so poorly in our lives. We prepaid the room via Booking.com and was told we would get a room with a view. Instead upon arrival we were given a basement room with no windows. We were told that if we wanted the room we booked we would have to pay an upgrade. The food was extremely expensive...

Booked through booking.com during Kapana Fest. Paid 108 BGN and the room we got was a basement one with NO windows. I did not even know they had such hotel rooms. Staff was rude, a gentleman who seemed to be a manager/owner allowed himself to discuss a former guest of the hotel using derogatory terms - extremely unprofessional. Given the...

We visited the restaurant. The atmosphere and view were nice. But the staff was terrible. The owner did not like my negative feedback and started to yell at us. He cursed and offended us. He also threatened to break my neck and I was ready to call 112. So sad and pity to see this in 21st century!

The choice for this hotel was the worst we've ever made, and we travel a lot. When we arrived to Boris Palace the owner (?) was not too friendly when asking for our IDs. Then he showed us the room; in the basement with no windows. He said if we wanted a room with windows we had to upgrade. We...

This is an interesting hotel right in the old town of Plovdiv. It looked great on line. Our room was clean and had a beautiful view of Plovdiv. However, our balcony window over looked an empty lot full of junk. We had a group dinner at their restaurant that was way over salted. There was some kind of misunderstanding between...

Boris Palace is just fine. The rooms are clean but aging and so is the bathroom. The restaurant is not entirely functional. That didn't mean that our stay was not comfortable, it's probably just my high standards. The location of the hotel is wonderful and probably the highlight of the hotel. On the first day, the receptionist was very unfriendly...

Stayed for 2 nights in May on business and cannot fault the place. Boris was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Would recommend this place to anyone, the location is fantastic in the old town.
