Great value for money. Large room, finally a room where you can put all your luggages. Room was clean, bathroom not so. Breakfast was more than fine. No view from the room. In the morning we could here noises from outside. We stayed at room 13. Furniture a little bit outdated and dusty.

We stayed here for one night as it was close to the restaurant where our friend had a party. The receptionist, Elitza, was friendly and helpful - a lovely girl. The room was a bit dark but spacious and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was nice and satisfying.

The Ventura Boutique Hotel was everything we had hoped it would be. The room you see in the picture is the room you get. The are huge, clean and beautiful. The breakfast is basic but I recommend the French Toast with Maple Syrup. The staff here are lovely. They are a credit to this hotel. For your information, coffee with Ness is a cup of warm milk with Nescafe👍 You can travel into varna for about 6 Leva (£2.50) but I recommend getting the local tram. You can travel anywhere in Varna for 1 Leva each (43p)

I had the pleasure to be invited to a wedding in this hotel last week. And I was literally shocked by the attitude of the restaurant manager (a middle-aged lady) towards some guests on the wedding.
I am a Swiss-educated hotel manager, on mother leave (5 months pregnant), and I have never ever in my career seen any hospitality employee (not talking about a MANAGER) doing what this lady did.
She came to a young man, sitting at my table with his wife, and started screaming at him very rude about why did he opened himself and his wife soft drinks and insisting there were waiters(none of which came to our table since that time).
Most shocking was at the same time there was a game, the married couple was playing and it was all quiet in the hall, so everyone was able to hear her voice, and it was so inappropriate that even I which had nothing to do with the situation was humiliated, can not imagine the poor man who started apologizing to her as if he was a boy in school who did something very very bad.
I asked her to our table once the music was back on, and tried to explain that after all we are guests and what she did was not appropriate and she is not supposed to have such attitude, especially on a wedding where she can ruin not only the couple's time, but also the bride and the groom's (it was not their fault her employees were slow), to which at NO surprise she did the same and screamed at me that she did not care whose guests are we... to which i just remained silent, deeply shocked and quite angry.
I hope the GM/Owner of the hotel sees my review, and takes some action towards this way of treating guests in their property.

Sincerely,
Ana Karamanova

Hotel is nice and close to the park and the beach -- though the water was very dirty to swim. Hotel is only 10min to the city center by taxi. Our room was big and comfortable. However they didn't do a room cleaning, they only changed towels daily. After 5 nights of our stay, the floor, the furniture and toilet was dirty and dusty. Although they had a nice selection of breakfast choices, the staff was unfriendly.

Ventura Boutique Hotel is located across the bridge from downtown Varna. It is about a 20-minute walk to a small local beach, which unfortunately we didn't get a chance to swim at because of the weather. Our rooms were super large, but strangely empty with a couple old chairs in one corner. There was no main overhead light and so the room was rather dark. In mine, one set of the lights was out. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom had been newly renovated, which was very nice. A/C was fine. The Wifi was on and off on my floor, but not on my friend's floor and not in the lobby. I slept great, and the place was very quiet. Breakfast was mixed. My friend loved his pancakes. My eggs were on the cold side. The place has its own brewery, which my friend said made the best beer he tried in Bulgaria. The staff were were very friendly though they couldn't figure out the wifi problem. Though there was no parking, but it was very easy to find a place on the street.

Unbelievable value for money!

I have been visiting Varna since opening a company in Bulgaria in 2005 & have stayed at many various standards of hotels throughout Bulgaria from top 5 star to budget 2 star, all I can say this is by far the best value for money by a mile!

The hotel is ideal for a private business meeting or equally for a romantic stay. The high quality of the decor & design of the hotel affords overwhelming ambience throughout the building. It exudes luxury & quality not only in ascetics but also in customer service & food quality.

The location is a decent but easy bus ride or 10 minute drive from the centre of Varna, it is not what I would call a walkable route as it entails crossing the main bridge crossing the Lake of Varna (research the area - Аспарухово, it is interesting & there is enough nearby to see & do if you like local beaches (albeit small) beach restaurants & small bars & cafes. I would not describe the area as a Tourist Spot in anyway. It is a typical local residential district of Varna, personally I prefer this as you see the real Bulgaria & REAL Bulgarian prices & NOT inflated tourist ones.

The plus points are :

Fabulous Decor.
High Quality fittings.
Luxury Bedrooms (very comfortable beds).
Luxury Bathrooms (amazing power shower - best I've ever seen).
Air conditioning that actually works & adjustable (hot & cold).
Plenty of power outlets in room.
Fridge in room.
Great WiFi (own router in bedroom).
Large flat screen TV (local / national channels limited English ones).
Daily maid service.
FREE Car parking on site (major point for me as many hotels in Varna don't have their own parking & charge for it).
BOTH easy walk stairs to the two floors of accommodation or elevator (I always use the stairs as Bulgaria has many power cuts).
Breakfast was super (limited menu) but amazing quality & it was possible to order a combination of items both hot & cold so made it into a full meal. I was given free refills for coffee & orange juice, service was excellent, the food was cooked to order & fresh so I cannot understand some comments I've read about this hotel & food service. You are getting personal 5 star service, who wants a buffet!
The evening meal was equally impressive, especially with a few live beers from the hotels own brewery, alas no free refills! But at only £1.50 for a large pint is amazing. TOP TIP - an upgrade to half board for 22 lev per day is well worth it. You can choose anything from the menu up to the value of 22 bgn lev including drinks!
The best thing we the amazing customer service.

The not so good things:

A slight drain smell at times in bathroom (this is a common issue thorought Bulgaria both in hotels and homes - its just the way Bulgarians do their plumbing no roofline vent pipes on soil pipe stacks) I have had the same problem with every house I've ever purchased of there & had to rectify).

A temporary issue is the major road redevelopment improvements being conducted in the immediate area of the hotel (Dec 2017). This is beyond the hotels control & as such access is not immediately straightforward BUT once known there is an easy route to it via some back streets (CHECK the hotels website for map - DONT use SatNav or phone or it will try to take you along the road that is being built! It isn't a problem if you research the route first! The work should be finished in the next couple of months.

Overall, this is by far the best place to stay if you like quality at good prices, perfect if you have a car, good if you don't mind using public transport which is very good & cheap.

I would not recommend it if you want Varna town centre location as to walk to the attractions is possible, but unrealistic.

We stayed there for one night and our stay was great. Nice big rooms, good beds and a good breakfast (with good orange juice, not that sugar water we had in other hotels before)
Good wifi connection and 10 min walk from the beach.
The beach was not crowded at all (end of august)
The staff is very friendly.
It's located near a shopping center next to the harbour only a 5 min drive from the varna center, easy to acces by taxi for cheap.
All in all a good hotel!

Very nice room and helpful reception staff. Some of the restaurant staff are indifferent and not very efficient. Breakfast is nice but limited. Some of the room furnishings could do with an update since they are quite worn out. This hotel is very far from the city center and some of the taxi drivers are crooks and you may get ripped off. No good dining options in the vicinity.

Dear CaptMikeSolo, Thank you for finding time to rate us on tripadvisor.com and to tell us what you think of Boutique Hotel Ventura! We are pleased to know that you find the reception staff efficient! We will do our best to improve the quality of restaurant service! The breakfast menu includes a rich choice of 14 cold and warm meals, prepared at the moment for you, depending on your preferences. We are proud of our high standart menu - only quality products are used and a personal attitude is applied for your meal's preparation. Regarding the venue - it takes 5-7 min to reach the city centre by car and 10-12 min with public transport, even in rush hours. There are good dining options in the area. There are two other restaurants and a pizza bar in proximity of 150 m. There are plenty of other restaurants within different prize range in the area as well, including on the nearby beach. We do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back again!

Here's the website you were asking for hotelventura.bg/en/ About the shuttle bus from the airport - I have no idea. But the distance between the airport and hotel takes about 20 min by taxi.

Is it possible to get there by public transport (or walking) from Varna?
Answer from carolmaggs
Crawley, United Kingdom75 contributions39 helpful votes
It is easy to get from Varna to the Ventura Hotel by public transport. We used buses and trams. Cheap, easy and frequent. (Brilliant view from the bridge!). I think it is too far to walk, unless you are a very enthusiastic walker. Also I think you would have to walk along a very busy road. I wouldn't try it.
