If you arrive in Varna by train, Hotel Dionis is a good choice. It is nothing special, but clean. And take your time to registrate at the reception: The girls have very nice landscapes.

As the hotel is located in a dead-end street, my room was calm, although the location is very convenient and close to Varna central train station (5 minutes walking distance). Some smaller supermarkets are nearby, central shopping area can be reached within 5-10 minutes walking distance.
WiFi did not work in my room at all. Staff was friendly.

We arrived late afternoon and were welcomed by the receptionist, who checked us in and handed us keys. Our room was clean and tidy, with good-working air-conditioning. The beds were comfortable, with two pillows each! We stayed for three nights and a bargain price and were very happy with the location (right in between the centre and the beach), the rooms and the service we received.
We really liked Varna and would recommend any travelers to visit here.

We stayed at the Dionis for 5 nights prior to travelling to stay with friends in the Burgas region. We found the hotel to be very clean and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and despite us speaking very limited Bulgarian they really worked hard to understand us and spoke in English to assist us.
The tariff was Bed & Breakfast and we felt that the breakfast was good considering the different nationalities this small hotel was trying to cater for. If people are really fussy about what to eat they could always settle for toast and cereal but we liked the selection of cold meats, sausage and cheese very much.
The train station was just 2 minutes walk away with the shops being approximately 4 minutes in the other direction. We found everything very easily and thought the hotel was in an excellent location for sight seeing or just relaxing. There was a nice courtyard where we sat late at night having a drink from the bar. We really could not fault this hotel and if you want a break somewhere less noisythan the seaside resorts then try this hotel .
would we use it again? YES definitely!

Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of December, bit of a nightmare to find, even the taxi driver had difficulty but found it to be more than adequate for our needs. Nice and central, main street is maybe a 5 minute walk but the streets are on the dark side and the potholes are enormous. Probably one of the safest locations as there is a private security company more or less next door.
Staff were very pleasant and helpfull, food not to our taste (breakfast only) but adequate; would definitely stay here again.

Cozy hotel, great location, quiet street , walking distance to beach and Varna center,friendly staff.room with a terrase, clean and comfortable.enjoyed staying there, will come back next year for sure.

Unexpensive, but good quality hotel. No major problem with my stay, except for a dog somewhere outside barking all night, which of course the hotel is not responsible for. I got a great coffee at the reception, I took advantage of the free parking even for the whole following day, which was really nice. The room was comfortable.

Nice small hotel, very clean, room spacious, staff pleasant, onsite parking, no food but small selection of chilled drinks.. close to centre with restaurants & bars... would definately choose to stay there again..

The room was nice, but the bathroom needed to be cleaned better and also some reparation done... there was water on the floor coming from somewhere, the bath was not really clean,, shower head didn't work properly... Small things that can be improved really easy. Breakfast was not too impressive either. Nice place otherwise if these things are to be improved in the future.

We have been over there with friends for just 1 night but the cleanliness was awful - the toilet was not cleaned from the previous couple and was very dirty ! Overall the hotel is with good destination 200m from the Centre, and the value is not bad , but they are not really cleaning the rooms after their guests which is something i could not believe, hope its accident !
