We stayed only 2 nights here. Our room was spacious with a big hard and surprisingly comfy bed and pillows. We slept soundly on both nights and were only on floor 4 next to the busy road, but we couldn't hear it. I give this hotel only 3 out of 5 because when we checked-in the receptionist was grumpy, the room wasn't thoroughly clean and breakfast was disappointing. If I returned to this city I'd stay elsewhere, somewhere that has a good restaurant because there aren't that many good clean restaurants in this city.

I stayed for 4 nights in November.
I had a large and spacious room. The bed was nice and comfortable, excellent pillows! The bathroom needs updating and the shower was cold 2 out the 4 times I used it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was ok, but limited in choice, I think it was geared more towards the Asian clientele.

A convenient modern hotel located across the street from the Mandalay train station. Though a relatively new hotel I appreciate that it is decorated in traditional Myanmar style (Check out the photo of the wood carving on the staircase). I spent four days here in a large room with beautifully carved wood furniture. The bed was large as well and equally comfortable as the room. The bathroom always had extra hot water (something I learned to appreciate even more spending almost a month traveling throughout Myanmar) with all the amenities (shampoo, toothbrush, razor….). I was on a high floor and was not bothered by the noise that other reviews have mentioned. Stepping out of the front door of the hotel though one can see this is a major intersection. The staff was excellent always aiming to please. Breakfast was included in the price of the room serving both Asian and Western cuisine in a delicious manner. I ate dinner in the hotel twice and was not disappointed on either occasion.

I stayed at this hotel for over a week and highly recommend if visiting Mandalay. The location is extremely central and lots within walking distance including rail station, Mandalay palace, lots of shops, restaurants, banks, ATMs, etc. Diamond Center and large grocery and other shopping are nearby as well. Taxi and motorbike stands are just outside the hotel so transportation never a problem and of course the staff is very, very helpful.

The hotel itself seems fairly new and is very nicely decorated in traditional Myanmar style. The rooms are huge and have all the amenities you need, or you can ask at reception if something you need (like hair dryer, etc) I especially appreciated the in-room safe.

Nice selection for breakfast - usual rice, noodles, etc plus lots of breads, egg station and always had an additional veggie or main dish, plus sausages and fresh fruit.

There is a small fitness center with modern equipment. And a really great rooftop restaurant - they even have a daily happy hour with free, yes FREE, drinks. Can't beat that. There is also a nightly entertainment program - dancing, puppets, etc. Even if you aren't staying at the hotel, I recommend the restaurant. It has great views of all of Mandalay. Nice for a sunset drink or fun place to wind down the evening. They have good Myanmar food as well as some Western and other asian dishes. Very reasonably priced too.

Highly recommend this hotel - the staff is great and very accommodating and the hotel has everything you need. The central location a huge plus too.

We had an enormous Deluxe Room (703) with beautifully carved wood furniture. It is in the centre of Mandalay opposite the large ornate railway station. The staff in reception and the restaurant are delightful. This is a theoretically 3 star modern hotel deserving a 4 star classification. There is a lovely rooftop restaurant which offers FREE cocktails between 17.30 7 19.00, and a FREE puppet and dance show from 19.30-20.00.The restaurant/bar offers panoramic views of Mandalay The included breakfast was very good and the evening meal of high standard and moderately priced. We did have minor problems on the 1st day with the safe and the Tv, but these were rapidly resolved by "Housekeeping". On the 2nd.day the air-con developed a fault but again this was quickly dealt with. The bed was very comfortable, and although we faced the railway station we had no problem with noise mentioned by other reviewers.
NB AVOID BUYING COFFEE AT MANDALAY AIRPORT - THE PRICE ( FOR MYANMAR & FOR OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD) IS TOTALLY EXTORTIONATE AT K3500 (about $4.00) FOR A SMALL CUP OF POOR COFFEE - a total "rip-off" and this needs to be reviewed and reduced, since the normal price in Myanmar for lovely coffee is K500-1000.

I am glad that I get to write my first review here for this nice little hotel. If you are visiting this gorgeous city called Mandalay, I am definitely recommending you to stay at Shwe Ingyinn, a bit hard to pronounce the name but who cares right.... The price is relatively cheap but the quality is 5 stars for sure. I stayed for a week in suite with my family. Man the suite is awesome (see my attached pic) Lots of space. Nice view. Awesome housecleaning. The staff were awesome. Very friendly and attentive. There is also a small gym. Good if you want to work out. They said they are opening up a restaurant with 360 view on rooftop. When I visited there, the restaurant is a bit small but the quality and service are awesome. The location is very central hence a bit noisy at times but that's a minor problem. All in all, excellent hotel to stay at. You won't regret it.

Ideal spot for a nice place to chill in super hot and busy Mandalay, the city with lots of tourist attractions.

My husband and I stayed at Shwe Ingyinn hotel in June 2013. We had everything we needed in the room; we had TV, tea / coffee making facilities and safe etc...

The room was not a suite but big enough and we felt like home. The room had dark wood floor which was lovely and cool to walk in. There was a nice comfortable king size bed, sitting / lounge area with flat screen TV, a few chairs and a table; it also has a desk/ dresser. The sitting area served like a small lounge in our bed room. The air condition was working very well which was most essential in Mandalay. We have stayed in Mandalay hotels before and some has mosquitoes but this hotel appears very clean and didn't see any insects or mosquitoes. Food was good. Everything was really clean and fresh. The staffs are very friendly and very keen to help.

The hotel is located at convenient location, which is right opposite the central train station; which made it easy to commute to the main attractions. The windows were sound proof and we couldn't hear any traffic or noise from hotel room.

I would recommend this hotel to stay if you were visiting Mandalay in Myanmar.

Located near the central railway station. The room we stayed was clean and wide. There is comfortable bed in the room and we can sleep comfortably. The staffs are polite, helpful and friendly. The restaurant served a delicious, well cooked and well presented food for us to eat.

Bearing in mind this is only a three star hotel and it is in Myanmar it is fine. Yes the rooms are a bit dated and the breakfast is a bit disorganised. The reception staff were great. We passed through the restaurant a couple of time during dinner and it was not well patronised. The street noise is audible but just turn up the A/C or ask for a room at the back. The roof bar, run by a lugubrious Frenchman, charges $4 for a beer so is not going to get much custom.
