We were booked in here for 2 nights in a Deluxe Corner Suite but as part of the tour we were upgraded to a Club Level Suite with Balcony overlooking the old palace instead.

We stayed in a large comfortable room with all amenities. Only comment would be is the decor is a bit dated for this standard of hotel .

Hi we have just returned from this place. It was 12,000 kyats (about 12 US dollars) for a taxi into town and he waited while we had dinner and took us back to the hotel. The hotel arranged the taxi. We went to the rainforest restaurant which is about 10 minute drive, however it took longer than usual as it was the water festival when we visited so lots of traffic. I enjoyed going into town but our guide recommended we return to the hotel by 9pm. We did eat twice in the hotel itself
We did have a guide the whole time so difficult to say how widely spoken English is. I got the impression that not many people do speak it. The taxi driver did manage a few words to negotiate price and chit chat about weather...

We found the food in Myanmar in hotels to be to European levels so expect to pay around $45. This hotel also adds service charge and a government tax. There is happy hour in the bar til 8pm and they do snacks. You can also... More
We found the food in Myanmar in hotels to be to European levels so expect to pay around $45. This hotel also adds service charge and a government tax. There is happy hour in the bar til 8pm and they do snacks. You can also order the restaurant menu to be served in the bar. Hope it helps!
