My stay in Madaly was made better by staying at the Nadi. After the long drive from the airport, share taxi, on arrivivg at the hotel, good kept ground & apperance. the bookin staff were all standing & helpful, as i was fillling in the bookin paper work a cold orange drink appeared next to me, most welcomed. then taken to a well appointed roon, good aircon, clean & good size bathroom. only started to unpack & find how to put things awway, knock on door, a room boy with chilled fresh fruits, being me i started to eat when he left. then another knocking, another man with a hot water jug , if i wanted to make chinnese tea. breakfast in the dining room. everythig you would like to eat, went to toast bread, on waited said, not busy sir, we will bring what you want, good service for the 4 day stay. excellent value

The hotel is in a modern buiding on a busy road. It is not particularly pretty seen from outside and the rooms are nothign special really, western style, kind of 70ies, no real charachter. However they are quite large with Tv and small fridge. My stay was not that comfortable as my room was extremely hot (facing the side of the buiding the sun was on the walls for most of the day), and both the fridge and air conditioning were very noisy + there was noise from the neighbourhood like cars coming and going and dogs barking . The bed was very hard and extremely uncomfortable to me, this was the case for most of my trip in Myanmar.
Wi Fi onlyy work in lobby area.
Buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant, adequate, even though they seemed clueless on how to select ripe fruit at the amrket, even bananas were kind of tasteless. The restaurant is pretty cold, remember to wear adequate clothing when eating there. Dined there a couple of times, not the swiftest service, food good but not memorable.
Their Thai massage parlour ( next door) is very popular. Worth giving it a try

Stayed here for almost 2 weeks in April 2015.

The staff are very accommodating and nice. It has strong wifi on the lobby, but very weak on the rooms. Or, maybe just in our room in the 3rd floor. I don't know.

It's an old building but, it's very clean and cozy. Room doors needed real metal keys to open the locks, and one has to knock to be heard. Room furniture are sufficient, with colored TV, though very few channels to choose from. A mini ref and telephone. They replenish our bottled water everyday, including soap, shampoo, comb, and other hygiene thingys.

Nadi Myanmar is along a busy highway, but surprisingly, it's not noisy even during daytime. Restaurant and convenience stores are just a few steps away, so you don't have to go far to buy stuff.

By the way, breakfast is good, but there are not much variety. So, we chose to order food from their menu some mornings. An order is big for 1 average man. Tastes well and cheap.

The accomodation and the reception were excellent. More service than in other hotels in Myanmar, like fresh fruit being offered after a lon journey. But above all, we stayed for a week and enjoyed the warm and caring dedication of the staff. They rendered every support we needed. Definitely a place to return to!

This hotel does NOT have a great location for the city. It is far from most of the transportation options. The bathroom I stayed in smelled of urine, and I requested for a change in the room. I was told it was the last single room in the hotel. So the cleaning staff went at it again and it got cleaner upon my return. The room itself was comfortable. It came with TV, and a refrigerator. The hotel will arrange taxi rentals if you wish, though they are rather expensive and good for the far day trips out of Mandalay. The included breakfast was average. The hotel would be acceptable if you are part of a pre-arranged tour with transportation. Otherwise for the independent traveller, look for locations that are closer to the old city and to transportation hubs.

From the outside this looks as though this is a modern hotel. Inside this impression goes. No lift, internet only in the lobby, dark corridors and depressing rooms.

The staff were friendly and helpful enough but this place needs serious modernisation.

I think with investment it could be good.

This is an older larger hotel with lots of beautiful wood. The staff were great and breakfast a big buffet spread. They graciously let us check in early. It was a quiet place. We would recommend this hotel but please do not expect 5 star facilities- you can tell towels and sheets have been laundered many times- showing stains but clean;)

Fair price with basic amenities. Room are clean and large. Location is a bit far from restaurant and main attraction in town. But you can ask the hotel to arrange the taxi. It also has message service. Staffs are friendly and supportive. Hotel is family friendly.

We enjoyed our stay. There was a wedding which felt like a treat to see .
The rooms are simple and clean. The air dryer in the room didn't work and they didn't have a spare.
The breakfast was good.
The staff were helpful especially with details about getting to see the palace and suggesting going to see the 100yr old teak bridge
The wifi is slow and doesn't work in some rooms

Built quite some time ago, it is still one of the best hotels in Mandalay. It is not in the CBD but it was so refreshing to stay there. To start with, the hotel staff will go out their way to help you. They are always asking if there is anything you need. The furniture is not so new but the beds are very comfortable. There is a huge long mirror in the room. The guest relations officer can help guests to plan trips around the city with the hotel car.
The best thing about this hotel is the Thai Massage Service which is always full. You will need to book for a massage. Go there after dinner and relax for an hour or two.
The buffet breakfast has a wide variety on offer, both local 'mohinga' and Western cuisine. This hotel is managed by a very capable and experienced manager who knows the whims of every guest.
