It is fairly clean. I guess they try. The fruits in the breakfast buffet were covered with ants and they took care of it when brought to their attention but just wondering why they didn't notice. My parents had a tiff with the management during their departure because my parents spilled water on the phone and they wanted 10,000 kyat...

Nice place to stay to explore Mandalay. Very central, with the market nearby. We had a corner room on the 6th floor, with a lot of Windows and natural light. No noise from the streets at night. Nice breakfast.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Had most of what you would expected from a hotel in Myanmar but lacked a few things you would hope for with the relative price. Location was poor with no local amenities in a city which is very hectic. Also breakfast although wide ranging is stone cold if you don't go in the...

Very friendly staff who used umbrellas when bringing in our luggage from the rain, a nice touch. The rooms are clean but dated and the shower was one of the worst we have experienced so far in Myanmar; necessary to hold by hand and the water was cold in the morning. Not a bad location from the morning market. They...

This was a nice clean hotel with large rooms, good showers, an extensive breakfast buffet but poor wifi. There is only one small elevator but a good wide and accessible staircase. You need transportation to get to most of the sights, but it is easy to get taxis. There is a money changer about one block away. Traffic is a...

We had a comfortable stay here as part of a group tour. Nothing fancy but pretty good for Myanmar standards. I would stay here again knowing that it has everything to meet my needs. The buffet breakfast provided many options and the lobby was a nice place to hang out after a busy day. Restaurant choices close by as well...

This is a basic downtown hotel with reasonably good service, room and breakfast. The problem is that it is difficult to find a good restaurant close-by and the wifi in the bedroom and indeed in the lobby is very weak or non-existent. Also beware that the lift only goes to the 7th floor and the rooms on the 8th floor...

I stayed at Silver Star Hotel for two nights as part of a tour group. The problem with this hotel was the room. The first thing I noticed when I entered was the stench of cigarette smoke. And the second thing I notice was the old dusty carpet and curtains. Very occasionally I get hay fever, but my nose, eyes,...

As with some other hotels in Myanmar, this place is an old state run hotel. The quality of the hotel is just a bit above average, but it has no charm at all. It's location is very good, in waking distance from the old city wall. Staff is friendly, buffet breakfast was ok.

I stayed here as part of my Myanmar tour and was very happy with the service. The beds were comforable, quiet rooms, clean, and breakfast provided was great. An ATM out the door was convenient and restaurants aren't far away. The tea was always hot at reception for your to help yourself to as well. WIFI is also provided. I'd...
