Pullman Luang Prabang is a 16-hectare resort overlooking a lush greenery with a backdrop of beautiful mountain views and paddy fields along meandering streams and ponds in the rustic countryside. Featuring 123 guest rooms, suites, and a two-bedroom villa scattered amongst infinity pools, watercourses and tumbling streams. Entry level accommodation starts with a spacious Deluxe Room (42 sqm) and extends to the Two-bedroom Villa – complete with separate living and dining areas, garden and pool – which can host up to 50 guests for a cocktail party or 12-seater private dinner. In keeping with Luang Prabang’s cultural heritage, the low-rise architecture draws heavily on traditional Laotian influences from China’s Yunnan province just nearby the border.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and had a truly fantastic stay. I had prearranged a transfer from the airport, so I was greeted by a friendly driver who took me to the air conditioned transport with complimentary cold water, cold towel and macaroons. My check in was smooth and Youla on reception was very welcoming and smiley.
My room was extremely modern, clean and well equipped. The bathrooms are very beautiful with rainforest showers, bath tubs and nice toiletries. The grounds of this hotel are absolutely stunning- they are surrounded by rolling mountains and the rice paddies. Every day you see many hard working garden staff at work maintaining the grounds. Breakfast was delicious every morning and I ordered room service a couple of times which was great also.
But for me the staff were the highlight of my stay- especially Youla, Mouk and Jett.
I want to make a special thank you to both Youla and Mouk. During my stay ; they both provided such professional service with such friendliness and warmth. They would go above and beyond to provide me with excellent service and it showed how they genuinely cared about the guests who enter the hotel.
I cannot wait to return to this hotel and Luang Prabang in the near future,
Thank you
Lewis Shepherd

Dear Lewis Shepherd, Sabaidee! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with the Tripadvisor community. We are elated you had a fantastic stay with us and that our team made you feel welcomed, specifically Youla, Mouk and Jett. In return, they would like to share their appreciation for the recognition of their hard work. We would like to thank you for highlighting our spacious and well-equipped rooms, as well as, our serene resort grounds. As our property sits on 16 hectares of land, the challenge of maintaining the pristine landscape is immense and requires a dedicated team as you observed with our landscaping team. We are delighted you savored our cuisine and enjoyed our breakfast spread. Once again, we would like to thank you for posting a review of our resort and for commending our team. We are thrilled to learn that Youla and Mouk were able to make your stay with us memorable. We cannot wait to welcome you back to our resort! Best, Denis and his team Denis Dupart – Area General Manager

We originally arrived thinking to spoil ourselves for just a few days. Once we were there and saw just how magnificent everything was from the gorgeous setting amidst the rice fields, to the beautifully designed and über-comfortable rooms to the truly FABULOUS breakfast, not to speak of the incredible nearly 50m pool and the top class gym,we felt so good in the Pullman that we decided to forfeit moving around and just hang out for 10more days (we’d been on the road for 8mths by then and were looking for the perfect spot to truly unwind while still enjoying all that Luang Prabang has to offer). Before I get into how we ended up spending 3mths here, I just want to say that this is without a doubt the best choice in Luang Prabang. We were worried that we would be away from the action, but downtown is actually only a few minutes drive away by tuk tuk, there are regular shuttles and it feels great to escape to the zenitude of the Pullman. The hotel is on the road to Kuang Si Falls and the Buffalo Farm, the super Living Land Farm is literally next door and Phosy Market for some local food shopping is on the road to town. Also, the place is impeccably kept. The rooms are sparkling clean, as are all the common areas. Already long before COVID measures were put in place, the team was highly diligent about cleaning all the surfaces and desinfecting them regularly. No question that the Pullman applies the strictest and highest level health and safety standards.
To cut it short: the lockdown happened and the two weeks turned into 3mths. We were so incredibly lucky. The wonderful team took care of us with the warmth of being family and the service of VIP guests. The talented chef Iranga cooked us the most incredible meals from breakfast through dinner and spoiled our 3 kids with lots of treats. The children (and us) got to enjoy the full grandeur of the gorgeous hotel, swimming, biking, gym, some work, and of course eating ;-) The team organized cool activities for the children and from the hotel manager to everyone working front and back became dear friends. These were all unusual circumstances, of course, and we still cannot believe our outrageous luck to have been in that exact place at that exact time with such wonderful people. We cannot thank Denis and his top class team (too many names to mention in this small space!) enough for having taken such great care of us.

I was benefitted by my Accor silver status, although there was some misunderstanding.
The best thing was they allowed us to stay until 5 pm as a late check-out service. Thanks to that, we enjoyed the stay until the return flight at 7 pm.
We were still in the hotel pool around 4 pm.
They say that this facility was opened in 2018, and Japanese guidebooks are not quite reviewing it. I think this is the hotel of the best balance of price and quality.
During the Tet holidays or Lunar new year, it is bid cold in the morning and evening, it would be around 15C. We need some autumn clothes. On the other, there are few mosquitos and flies that like Siem Reap during this season, which is good, although I brought repellant just in case. Around 2-4 pm is the best timing for swimming although the water is bid cold especially for Asian people.
A few tips for a comfortable stay are (1) bring your favorite snacks, (2) water pressure of the shower is low. I guess clean water is valuable around here. If you can clean the nozzle of the showerhead with a toothbrush, you could gain better water pressure ^^, (3) A hanging dryer and some light clothes hangers must be good for people who stay longer.
This time, we had to be careful about coronavirus. The hotel is large and if you want, you can maintain a comfortable distance from others (I am picking words carefully.)
One thing, during the daytime, grass cutting people were always working and making noise of the engine in the hotel area, and smoke of burning rice straw or something out of the hotel which was a bit annoying. But it could be a part of the original scene of Luang Prabang. We should be tolerant of those.

Dear tm_runner, Sabaidee! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the TripAdvisor community. We are delighted you were able to enjoy the finale of your stay with us and had an opportunity to relax at the pool one last time before your flight. We would like to thank you for highlighting the balance of price and quality of our property. We would also like to thank you for sharing your tips to make your stay more comfortable. On the other hand, we are disappointed that we were not able to meet all of your expectations. It is with much regret that we were experiencing technical difficulties with our water pressure. Our Eng team worked around the clock to try and resolve this issue during the time you were with us. We would also like to thank you for your candid feedback regarding our gardening team, our lead landscaper has taken your comments to heart and is looking at revising our gardening schedule. We look forward to welcoming you back to our resort the next time you find yourself in Luang Prabang! Best, Denis and his team Denis Dupart - Area General Manager

First up, the positives; the hotel was gorgeous. It was surrounded by padi fields and waking up and looking at the views were stunning. Also the front desk staff were great! There was always a buggy available to ferry us around and the Assistant Manager Rohan was a great guy and a pleasure to interact with. They also upgraded our room when we were having issues with our existing rooms.
Coming to negatives, There was major plumbing issues in all the rooms we were moved to. We gave up after our upgraded room realising that this was an infrastructure issue and we didn't want to bother them further.
Also when ordering room service, it would be great if someone who can speak and understand english clearly is manning this. They were playing phone jockey when trying to find someone we can explain this to and even then it was difficult to get our points across. My partner is lactose intolerant and enquiring if there were any dairy in the dishes proved to be a nightmare. Also, the dishes described in the menu and what turned up at the room were completely different. This is very dangerous for folks with severe food allergies.
I understand that this set up is new in Luang Prabang and some leeway should be given to them to sort out the logistics. But when you're paying upwards of $300 per night, you expect a certain level of infrastructure which they were sadly lacking in. Great to look at and great front office service, but other areas can be definitely improved.

Far from the madding crowd, exactly what we were looking for. Temperature was the perfect spring in Med! The sprawling grounds are beautifully landscaped & the Premium Suite we booked was spacious.
The spa tucked away in the far end of the property was fairly tranquil, but if you’re looking for a good massage, I wouldn’t recommend this one. The masseurs lacked training & you’d think that at $85 for a 90 min massage you’d come out feeling all relaxed? Not really! I felt marinated.
Maintenance is also lacking, 2 of our bulbs had blown at the main entrance & after reporting it 3 times in 3 days, I gave up!
Foodwise, breakfast was a let down. For an internationally renowned chain, one would expect decent food, if not the spread. Ham & sausages were served in boiled water? Hmm ...for the 5 days I was there, the menu hasn’t changed at all.
Lastly, the overall service needs improvement, the staff needs to completely understand the guest before he/she nods. The bus trip we booked to town was not noted down, but thanks to Rohan, the young manager, he managed to secure another bus for us. You’ll need to book the bus way in advance, which I find a little stressful. So mostly, we took the Tuk Tuk, which costs around USD12 both ways. Housekeeping is also lacking. Our room was not made up till 4pm everyday, unless this is their hotel policy, I find it odd.
All said, for a truly relaxing, do-nothing holiday, the grounds at the Pullman is great! Just bring a good book & laze by the pool. I’d give 5stars for the property & 1 star for everything else.

I guess it depends on what your priorities are but if you're planning on being in the center of the action, this hotel is not ideal for you. It's about a 10-15 minute ride from town. The hotel does provide a free shuttle several times a day to and from the town center but you'd have to arrange your schedule to fit theirs.
Rooms are tastefully done in a local design aesthetic with a balcony and outside seating. They're scattered throughout the expansive property so you might need the golf cart transport they're happy to provide. Instead of grassy lawns, there are rice fields interspersed amongst the buildings, very unique. We had a problem with our hot water in the shower and bath being very sporadic and inconsistent and the bathtub faucet actually leaked all over the bathroom floor.
The 2 separate infinity pool areas are beautifully constructed and arranged around the rice fields in a very tranquil setting.
Don't miss the 2 for 1 cocktail Happy Hour at the lobby bar. They sure do know how to mix some wonderful fruit based cocktails!
I would recommend staying in town for a few days while you do all the sightseeing you want to do and then come to the Pullman for a few days of utter relaxation.

The Pullman resort is jawdroppingly stunning but struggles with some minor issues to deserve full 5 stars. First the good: obviously the looks, it resembles a sophisticated Laotian village complete with rice paddies. Secondly the beds, best sleep had in all of Asia.
Room for improvement: The staff is a mixed bag. Full praise to the lobby staff, the conciërges, the amazing GM aka the duck wispherer and Ming Ki from clients services who are all omni present and cannot deserve enough credit with how professionally they handle every detail and concern.
Now the breakfast staff is another story. The staff either clutters together at the coffee station, are nowhere to be found or are obsessed with removing your plate. I guess, no I hope, theyre still in training. The breakfast buffet itself is also best described as ok. The geography of the buffet is puzzling, theres a lack of take away fruits and for a city that prouds itself for its french heritage in the coffee and baking goods, this fine duo is seriously underwhelming in the entire resort which was my biggest peeve.
Also the resort lacks a heart, an area where you want to hang out and actually enjoy the gorgeous setting. The tiny terrace is an afterthought and mostly blazing hot. It should be covered or better, replaced by a luscious cafe/terrace, where you want to be. Now its just a transit area. Major missed opportunity.
Lastly the rooms: they look gorgeous and are comfy but the lighting is terrible, which seems to be a recurring Pullman theme. Especially the bathroom, try having a shave with the worst top light ever. Or having to open the front door just to be able to see the buttons on the safe in the hallway with some daylight coming in. The absolute worst.
Lastly be aware that the resort is quite the distance from town, which doesnt need to be problem. Hotel had some scooters delivered and we thoroughly enjoyed our daily rides into town, which are about 15 mn.

We stayed in the Pullman LP for 7 nights around the western New Year.
Our great experience started right at the airport where the beforehand arranged pick-up was waiting for us at the arrivals and took us through the city to the hotel. Check-in was relaxing and we were upgraded to an extremely spacious premium deluxe suite for what we are grateful.
The resort is arranged around paddy fields, water and the swimming pools, you can take a relaxing walk between the central facilities and the room. Beautiful views on the surrounding hills and fields of the local farmers. The grounds are very well maintained with flowers and trees everywhere.
As the resort is a few kilometres out of town, it all is peace and quietness but the free shuttle takes you to and from the centre on an hourly basis if you would like to go visiting or wandering around. We found this a very positive element of our stay.
All of the staff and the manager Mr Denis are very attentive and helpful, the only remark that we would have is the understanding of English of some of the local staff but their friendliness compensates for it.
Huge choice of breakfast with both Asian and Western options, a lovely start of the day on the terrace with the rising sun. We got dinner every day from the Atelier restaurant, either at the restaurant or on the deck of the bar with the fire pit. Thanks again for our daily appetizer as part of our Accor status benefits.
As a resume we found the Pullman of Luang Prabang a great choice for a slow holiday with a mixture of quiet relaxing and some local visits. We are already looking forward to returning !

This is an excellent hotel with great staff. The perfect place to relax. We loved the 3 pools and views. The shuttle bus is very handy for getting into town. Exceptional service from the staff. The rooms were large and clean with balconies. There were raised walkways through the paddy fields and many gazebos to recline and read. The food was very good both at breakfast and in the evening.
The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars were the first floor rooms. One of our party has some mobility issues and we had requested ground floor rooms. However, they did offer a free golf cart service to get around and it was fast and efficient.
Highly Recommended. We would happily stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Pullman Luang Prabang very much. My wife, our 7 year old daughter and I stayed 9 nights and we easily could have stayed even longer. The setting of the hotel is fantastic. The hotel area is huge and is characterized by paddy fields, small water streams and a small lake, which let you experience the nature of Luang Prabang in a very close and exquisite way. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean and the hotel facilities are 1st class. The restaurant serves a variety of very tasty local, Asian and western food. The immense variety at the breakfast buffet provided a perfect start of our days in Luang Prabang. We enjoyed to have breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the small lake and the beautiful scenery with rice paddies and hills. Our daughter was very happy in the kids club. The person in charge made a great effort to organize activities for her and her friends. The hotel gym is well equipped for cardio and strength training and we liked the bicycles provided to drive around in the resort. A highlight in the evening was a quiet time on the lobby terrace with an open fire. The hotel provides excellent information about possible trips in and around Luang Prabang and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and caring. The hotel is located around 10 min from the center of Luang Prabang and the hotel provides a very frequent and efficient shuttle service free of charge. We enjoyed to be outside of the town in a very quiet and relaxing setting.
