It may just be because I had only recently arrived from Vietnam where the hostels are cheap and of a very high standards, but nonetheless this place wasn't great at all. I turned up having booked and paid for an air con room to find that they were all being fumigated, some credit is due as after hunting down the...

Without explaining how dirty and disgusting the toilet and beds are i've stayed there one night and got my computer STOLEN and on the top of this the OWNER is the most BAD EDUCATED, ARROGANT and IRRiSPECTFULL person i've EVER met. It's probably even safer to sleep on the street.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Really hot, dorms smell bit, no air con but cheap so not too bad. Brilliant place to meet ppl, others not from hostel came here to balcony and downstairs common areas. Great mix of nationalities and travellers here. Showers ok, free drinking water was big plus. Owner was often drunk but added to vibe. Laundry,...

At a walking distance from the centre, hence quiet. Dorms are not so bad, especially considering the value for the price. Quite a social and chill stand. From here you can easily arrange a transfer to other locations.

Can't say anything about the accomodation as we lived in the neighboring Moukdavant Guesthouse (which was great) but we bought the transfer to the waterfall in Spicylaos, the price was best in comparison ro travel agencies. The location is good, on a quiet street not far from the Mekong. We also tried breakfast there once which was cheap but you...

This guesthouse is not as bad as some reviews i've read here. The beds weren't the cleanest, that's true. Slept in the dorms, paid 30,000Kip, had no special expectations of this place being super clean. Overall, location is like 5-7 mintues from downtown, they offer the waterfalls for a average price (30,000 roundtrip), the place is very chill and relaxed,...

The night we booked we noticed bed bugs in our dorm. 2 beds out of 10 and probably they knew that they had bed bug problems. We slept the night somewhere else and tried to get the money back. The guy from the reception went crazy, started taking pictures of us, he eventually gave half of the money back. Not...

Old builting, but everything was clean. Dorms with aproximately 8-10 beds, but they also have a few double rooms, which are not much more expensive. You can leave your belongings in metal lockers situated on the corridor, but you'll need your own lock. There are always people there, cooking food, talking, chilling. You can buy bus tickets there, there is...

So after arriving in Luang Prabang without a hostel we came across this place. The staff were helpful and friendly enough on arrival. The beds were quite hard but at $5 I wasn't expecting a miracle mattress. You get what you pay for. The staff organize a $30 shuttle to the local waterfall which was amazing, we did have a...
