Villa Saykham is good value for a guest house stay at $30-35 US per night approx. (Book via hotel website) It has a good location near the night markets (which is where everyone generally ends up at night) and it is very close to good restaurants like Cafe Toui and the new friends International restaurant Khaiphaen, as well as the...

This is a nice, quiet, hotel, just around the corner from the "beaten path." Luang Prabang is fairly small and easily walkable so you are never really far from anything. The rooms are modest, but clean and comfortable. You probably want to be aware that the monastery next door will start their “gongs” at about, but for the most part...

Situated in the old town, this hotel is ideally situated for most that this lovely town has to offer. The hotel provides good accommodation, nice bedrooms and what proved to be an excellent breakfast. The staff were always helpful and seemed keen for the guest to be happy.

Very good place that I recommend. it's right in the heart of the old town of Luang Prabang. You can to everything by foot. The breakfast is good, the service is good and the rooms are nice, clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Every room has a little private outside space. The inside courtyard is lovely and you can have breakfast...

We stayed here recently as part of our honeymoon trip. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming - they even smiled when we came back at 4am from a New Years Eve party at Utopia. It is really well located, the rooms and a good size and clean. The only downside for us was that the breakfast (also good...

I stayed in this hotel after a not so great experience at a guesthouse down the road. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. The grounds are beautiful and they serve breakfast in the patio (baguette, fruit, omelette). The room was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was also quite nice with a real shower which...

stayed at this hotel for our last 3 nights in Laos. Good location, lovely to eat breakfast on the patio, nice and clean rooms, could do with a little more soap and shampoo in the rooms. Beer I the fridge was cheaper than some of the restaurants in town! Don't you just LOVE those monks banging their gongs at 4...

We stayed on the second floor, the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed (fridge, AC, pleasant bathroom). The rooms have a lot of beautiful wood in their construction and decoration. The breakfast is simple and the same every morning (coffee and bad juice, baguette and freshly made eggs to your order with a rasher of bacon if...

I found this hotel by chance. I think it represents good value. The rooms are simple and clean. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is simple (eggs and bread) and is served in the quiet garden area. There is a temple next door which is beautiful.

Villa Saykham is very central to the main street in Luang Prabang and is next door to a temple. Yes, the monks do hit a gong about 5.00am however only for about 10 seconds and it never disturbed us, if this is the biggest criticism then it is pretty good, The rooms are comfortable with nice timber the bed was...
