Wonderful villa, immaculate rooms, great bed, easy access to everything in the old town, good breakfast, moderate price, nothing to complain about, would stay again if in Luang Prabang. There are a few noisy cockerels around the hotel, which adds to the atmosphere, as does the middle of the night drumming from the nearby temple (half an hour around 4am...

this guesthouse is so close to everything. there was an error with our booking; mrs. chitdara was very apologetic and instrumental in finding a new hotel. everyone was friendly and helpful. it has a lovely garden, nice breakfast area, noisy rooster(s), not so much hot water... cheap laundry (by the kilo) across the street. the chanting of prayers at 5:15...

We really enjoyed the ambiance of this guest house & the staff are very helpful. The rooms are a good size but the beds are very large & do take up a lot of space. The TV, minibar, tea/coffee facilities & safe means the room has everything you could want. The WIFI signal was at times poor. The breakfast is...

The owners are friendly - the staff are friendly - Laos is friendly! The quality of woodwork & maintenance cannot get any better than this. Lot of effort goes into preserving the place. Rooms & toilets are very clean. Like most of the Laos instant water heaters, the water cannot get very hot when volume of water is high. Want...

We stayed at Villa Chitdara in December for 4 nights. It is in a very good location in Luang Prabang, close to the river and the main street with all the cafes and night market. The monks walk by around 7am, great if you don't want to walk too far to see this morning ritual. The staff are friendly and...

We stayed here for 4 nights in December and we had a very good time in Luang Prabang using this friendly hotel as our basis. The staff was very helpful, the room (we had a room on the ground floor with garden-view) was nice and clean. Breakfast is also good. The Hotel offers free-WiFi, which is always a welcomed bonus....

The hotel is around 2 years old, i believe, but it still maintained its cleanliness and meticulate sweetness. Those who complain about simple breakfast may realise that this is the "norm" across Laos. simple yet balanced with fruits . When watch alm giving procession, try to walk around the streets to witness as well "reverse alms giving" where monks give...

We stayed here for three nights. One room on level 1, face street. One room on level 2 face street and the other on level 1 face garden. All rooms are great, have their own merits. All the rooms have balcony, and those facing street can see the morning 6-630am monks alms collecting. Breakfast spread very basic, western. For Asians...

A nice and comfortable hotel with lovely garden. Room is new, clean and with balcony. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful and considerate. Good breakfast buffet but with limited choice. Good location where it is just 2 minutes walk to the centre of the old street. Many bars and restaurants are at the street and night...
