Parasol Blanc is a must-see in Luang Prabang. It features a relaxing garden with lush tropical vegetation, a lake populated by 3 inseparable white ducks, a wooden bridge leading to the terrace restaurant and a lovely local and a room.
You will understand from the availability of heating in the room, gas heaters in the restaurant, constant maintenance of the garden by the gardener, extremely clean premises and garden, free drop-off service in the city center and even scooter rental at no extra cost compared to the scooter rental shops in the city, that everything is done to offer quality and fair price to customers.
The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. A special thank to Chan for all the assistance and advices he provided. We wanted to do a private boat trip on the Mekong and Chan found a better boat than what you usually get in the city, with a nice pilot and for a better price.
Bedrooms are nice and comfortable - if you can afford, choose a bedroom with the balcony facing the garden, you’ll enjoy the evening (with mosquito spray).
The only aspect that could be improved is the breakfast: the choice is quite limited, proposed fruit juices are standard factory juices, croissants do not come close to the taste of a French one and coffee is more hot water than a coffee. To get a proper coffee or espresso and a fresh fruit juices you have to pay extra. This contrasts with the overall philosophy of the place. Note that the rest of the breakfast is of good quality and you have a dedicated service proposing eggs in various accommodations, which is great.
The location is also great, at 10 mn walk to the city center, in a calm and green area. And with the free drop off by the electric minibus of the free bicycles it is even closer!
In conclusion, don’t miss that place if you travel to Luang Prabang and enjoy your stay.

Dear Marchalombre, Sabaidee and warm greetings from Parasol Blanc, with extended thanks for your detailed review. We are particularly pleased to read your positive points concerning our staff, our very best asset. All our bedrooms are equipped with balcony and therefore proposed with the same price online. We are deeply sorry for not matching your expectations in term of Breakfast beverage. Our selected coffee from Saffron (a local organic brand) is freshly brewed every morning. We understand however some of our Guests would prefer some espresso or cappuccino, which are indeed subject to small extra fee. Once again, we would like to thank you very much for staying with us and we wish you all the best for the festive season and for the upcoming 2025. Kindest regards

A fabulous hotel only 10-15 mins walk to centre of Luang Prabang.
The restaurant was beautiful, all meals lovely. Staff beautiful.
Rooms had beautiful hot showers, air conditioning, crisp linen.
I’d love to see the interior hotel room walls painted white as they would freshen up the look a little more.
Pool and gardens just lovely. Can’t wait to come back

Superb stay! The staff were completely focused on helping make our stay comfortable and happy. Highlight is the setting for the dinners/breakfast, by a beautiful pond dotted with water lillies...so idyllic! The swimming pool setting was not extravagant, but a nice place to hang out. Breakfasts were top notch with a very wide variety of fresh, tasty offerings of western and Lao styles. Dinner menu was not large, but excellent quality. Location is good, about 20 minutes walk from the night market and the old town area, and the hotel offers a free electric cart drop off.

A true oasis in the heart of Luang Prabang, Le Parasol Blanc is a hotel imbued with calm, greenery and comfort. The staff takes great care and meets your wishes. We stayed 3 nights with friends at Parasol Blanc and it was really the ideal place for a stay with friends. The electric shuttle takes you to the center in just a few minutes and the reception team also organizes all the excursions offered in the surrounding area. The excellent breakfast is served Ă la carte and one evening, don't hesitate to taste Laotian dishes with Sri Lankan touches brought by the Chef!

Stay as a couple for 6 nights in this human-sized hotel (30 rooms). Our room with balcony overlooks the garden, it is quiet and comfortable. No storage, but that's often the case in Asia. Everyone is considerate and helpful. The garden is imposing with many trees. The pool is small and out of the way, allowing for cooling off, not swimming. The 8 deckchairs can sometimes be insufficient. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of options. We only tried the restaurant once, it's better in town. On the other hand, it allows snacking during the day. For travel, the hotel is 2 km from the center. It offers bicycles, but we opted for a scooter (150,000 kips/day) passing through the hotel. This allows you to travel in the evening and explore the city a little. We really liked the excursion on the Mekong to see the PakOu caves. In short, a very good stay.

The ambience of the hotel and the beautiful garden are overwhelming and invite you to linger. The center can be reached - on foot in 15 minutes - by bike (free to borrow) 5 minutes The staff is extremely polite, which at the same time exudes great warmth. * Rooms are of a high standard (air conditioning, walk-in shower, etc.) * Breakfast terrace is in the middle of the rainforest garden * Breakfast = nice buffet -> tip: daily changing Laotian breakfast soup * Swimming pool = sufficient (space for 8 people, but remember that you are in the city)

We had a very nice room with a direct view of the garden. Very quiet, the service was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast in front of the beautiful garden backdrop. The breakfast is more "western", the French owner is evident from the fresh baguette. Eggs are available in all variations (individually prepared), but there are also some warm Asian dishes. Bicycles are available free of charge for trips into the city center, which we used on the first day. The pool at the back of the garden is small and not very deep, but it is enough to cool off in. One "negative point" I can say is that the food in the restaurant had to be paid for in US dollars (not in local currency or Thai Bath). The owner should think about this. Otherwise I can fully recommend the hotel (especially for people who prefer a quieter place).

I was there with my family for 2 nights and we had a great experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and assisted us with all the information we needed. Most of the staff can communicate in English and it's within walking distance from the Night Market. If you take a tuk-tuk from the city centre, it's just Kip 30,000/- which is 1.5 USD. The room was very comfortable, including amenities. The morning breakfast comes with many varieties and the service of the restaurant staff is also good. We had a nice time there and wish to be back in this hotel whenever we visit Luang Prabang again.

Parasol Blanc is a majestic oasis with it’s natural flora. Everywhere you look is a picture but a picture can’t capture its beauty. You can have a delicious American or traditional Laos breakfast that’s included with your stay. The rooms are so clean with cozy comfy beds, cloud-like pillows and super cool air conditioning not to mention nice hot water with a rain shower and lots of water pressure. What strikes me the most is how accommodating, helpful and super kind staff. Always there to help you and offer advise. The best hospitality we have experienced on our travels. We had an amazing stay.

Very nice hotel complex (15 minutes walk from the city center) and great service staff who were very helpful. Unfortunately, the pool area was always full...not many loungers available. The breakfast buffet was very good, the only downside was that you pay $2 extra for a cappuccino at breakfast...which is a bit odd for this hotel considering the room price. Brewed coffee was included. We had to leave very early on the day we left and so couldn't have breakfast, so the hotel put together breakfast boxes for us to take away. Great service, thank you!
