A real surprise to find a hotel this charming so close to town, friendly and helpful staff. Our massive room had a great bed, but one side had a column right next to the middle of the bed. There were other eccentricities, but they were all overwhelmed by the charm and ambience.

This is a truly elegant small hotel. The decoration is charming and stylish. The rooms are more basic but this is overcome by the surroundings and by the desire of the staff to assist you in every way. Mr Fanta especially deserves a mention for his willingness to assist.

This is a beautiful 1930s french colonial building about 5 mins away from the centre of Luang Prabang (walking) - so it's very peaceful and set in lush gardens with a lovely pool. The pool area is a lovely sun trap and perfect place to unwind with a glass of french white wine post sight seeing. The rooms are large...

What a beautiful place to stay located in spectacular gardens a little taste of paradise after a hard days sight seeing. Our room was furnished in French colonial style with a balcony to enjoy early evening drinks before venturing out to enjoy great local food. The staff were exceptional friendly and always on hand. You will not be disappointed if you...

The staff are polite and charming, the rooms are basic but clean. We loved the pool and deck area. There were quite limited breakfast choices but i didn't really care, there was something about this hotel that made me feel comfortable and it was our first taste of south east asia. Thank you.

The Hotel is very nice. The main building is grand style and has a long tradition. The pool and the garden provide ideal relaxation. The rooms are beautifull styled. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is good, you can walk in some minutes to shops, the market and different temples. We made a guided tour through different countries...

My family of 4 stayed here over the week leading up to, and including, Christmas. We couldn't speak more highly of the staff and their incredible generosity - it truly felt like we were at home! Nothing was too much trouble and the cocktail party that was put on Christmas Eve was something to remember. The rooms were immaculate and...

our flight was delayed leaving Bangkok, so we were delighted with when we reached our hotel. There was a slight problem with the electrics but we had a twin room with a lovely view. I loved the walk in shower with a fantastic shower head. We stayed in this hotel for two nights with breakfast, which consisted with a great...

We had a stop in our Indochina tour for a couple of days at Villa Maly. You should set your expectations right before you book or you stay at this hotel. It's mainly run by a French family, hence they will greet you and you will have a warm feeling. Reading the other reviews they indeed are corect, light in...

Lovely hotel, nice breakfast, and a great pool and bar. The room was comfortable and we slept well, although someone should shoot the nearby rooster! The hotel was also very clean and the staff were excellent and friendly. Thank you!!
