I stayed at the Manichan with my boyfriend for 4 nights but unfortunately our experience by the end of our stay was quite disappointing compared to other guests reviews. The guesthouse itself is lovely, set in a great location just a few minutes walk from the morning market, street food and Mekong river. We stayed in a double room with... More

I stayed in Manichan 8 nights, and in short, Manichan guest house turned my trip into a great moment. The place is nice and confortable (no luxury but confort enough, good (hard) beds, hot water and AC). Andy and Venus are both really nice and helping. Andy especially is always around, willing to help, to offer advice, to book a... More

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We spent 2 nights in a private room w/ 2 beds and bathroom and then 1 night in their other house (Mali House- which they just opened) across the street. That room had 2 beds and a shared bathroom. Andy and his wife were so nice and helpful. We really enjoyed... More

Very convenient location near tourist attractions and the main road/river. Warm hospitality from Andy and Venus, nice place to relax and great place to meet fellow travelers. Provided useful tips and advice for things to do. The rooms were clean and showers had hot water. Great stay at LP.

Andy is VERY nice to his guests, he has a lot oft good information, the breakfast is VERY good (but expensiv, 50.000kip), the rooms are OK (only moskito net and wood-window- No "normal" Windows), BUT DON'T TAKE THE ELEFANT- TOUR FROM HIS GUESTHOUSE (10 minutes elefant feeding, than:"go go...", 10 min. Marion, thank you for taking the time to write a review, and for the nice words about myself. BUT..... I am wondering what a 'normal window' is? we are in Laos, and the windows on the house are Lao-style windows. the same as on every other house that I know :) AND..... I am so sorry that you had a... Manichan was only a short ride from the airport and serves a fantastic location. Set only 2 minutes from the night market and Main Street and a mere 1 minute to the food market, you couldn't get much better if you tried. Andy and Venus were so welcoming and made us feel right at home immediately. Venus' breakfasts are amazing.... More

We had such a great stay at the Manichan Guesthouse. Andy and Venus were so kind and welcoming, they definitely made it feel like a home away from home. The location is awesome, walking distance to everything you need. The rooms a really nice and clean too. I really couldn't recommend this place more.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by the owner - Andy. Very down to earth and laid back. We were escorted to our rooms which were tastefully decorated, simple yet classy. Great room. Great breakfast. Great location. Great service. Andy is a very nice hosts that fix everything you want. The room was of good size but the bed was very hard. The breakfast was good. Pancakes / egg / omelett and some homemade jam. Fresh juice and bread every day. We rented motorbike whitout any trouble. I really recommend it!
