Traveled to Luang Prabang as a part of a solo two-week trip through SE Asia. Friends had stayed there previously and highly recommended The Belle Rive. It's in a fantastic location right on the Mekong River. Luang Prabang is a magical, walkable city so the hotel is within easy walking distance of all the highlights including the night markets and... Great location, decent service, bikes to go around, does not like the boat people to ask everyday about the boat thing cause not interested, should have more gimmick to add value to differentiate, nice room (only problem with electricity + aircon leaking), but overall is pretty good value....

I needed a break from work and all, and always wanted to visit Luang Prabang. I stayed 3 nights in oct 2015 and still have vivid memories of my stay. Breakfast was ala-carte, along/on the beautiful mekong river. Staff recommended Laab Gai for dinner and it was really good! 5-10 minutes walk to the night market. No TV in the... More

We stayed at the BelleRive for 4 nights during the wet season. We had an amazing time and I think a lot of it had to do with the hotel and the staff. Great location, extremely clean, and most importantly had the best service. Every tour they arranged for us was great and the staff went above and beyond on... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Belle Rive for our first visit to Luang Prabang, and I have no second thoughts staying there the next time I visit. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, they provide free bicycles, and the complimentary sunset cruise was the icing on the cake. The only reason I do not rate it 5/5... More

The BelleRive was the perfect hotel for our recent long weekend in Luang Prabang. The room was comfortable and stylish. The staff were friendly and efficient and very accommodating with our request for a late checkout. The location was great, by the river and just a 5 minute stroll into the centre of the old town. We look forward to... More

I would lave to give this place 5 stars and the rooms and the location definitely deserve it. However some in the staff don't really make that mark.
