We were staying at the Apsara on the "Rive Gauche " and decided to call in here for a swim ( not by ferry- we were practically discouraged to do this). In an almost Fawlty-esque encounter the manager said we couldn't swim because they didn't have enough equipment; by which he meant towels , loungers, umbrellas. We reassured him we...

Sorry, if my assistant manager had given you the wrong reason not to allowed you to swim in our hotel, is not that we don't have enough equipment, the real reason is a hotel policy not to allowed outside guest to use the pool even from our sister hotel the Apsara in town. This hotel information is posted on both...

Can't recommend this hotel enough! Stayed here twice and this time was even better. Beautiful rooms and location! Breakfast fab and served till 12, cooked freshly for you. Hanoi the Laos manager was great and provided top notch service, nothing was a trouble for him. He arranged transfers, late check out till 5pm and at no extra cost. So much...

This lovely nine room boutique hotel is across the river from the main part of town, but the hotel has a 24 hours boat transfer service for the one minute trip across. There is also a bamboo bridge a bit further up the river, but only in the dry season. Either way there are several dozen steps at either end...

We arrived here after a couple of weeks of hard travelling and ready for a little luxury - and were so delighted to find such an exquisite room and such great service. As others have said, this really is an oasis and it's a pleasure in such a beautiful town, to be staying in such a beautiful hotel. The hotel...

This is a great little hotel - it may not be for those who like grand hotels or all conveniences, but it's peaceful, charming, well-run and well-located. Be aware that to get to the town you have to take a boat, but this is available at all times and takes less than a minute to get across the river. It's...

Would be hard pressed to find any fault with this place. Note other reviewers comments but have to say that the four nights we stayed here didn't even notice the absence of a television, infact it was a relief. The boat service taking us across the river was always ready to take us there. Lovely to have breakfast cooked to...

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. We didn't know what to expect when we arrived in Luang Prabang and were a little surprised when we pulled up to the hotel because it located on a quiet, residential street, but we can't say enough good things about this place. The room was lovely and spacious, with a great balcony. There is also...

This hotel stands out as very special in a country that has very little. From the pick up at the Airport to the return, everything was a delight. If you are staying in Luang Prabang you need a pool, don't even think of staying at a hotel without one, as you will be sitting in the bath instead, it's one...

This is a lovely hotel, perfectly situated for visiting the town of Luang Prabang. The town is accessible via a 25 second boat trip across the river. The staff, particularly the Assistant Manager, Mr Han, are unobtrusive and very professional. Breakfast was excellent with a selection of cooked food to accompany the cereals and yoghurts etc. Nice rooms, clean and...
