I arrived as part of a tour group set to share in a dorm but I fancied treating myself so purchased a double room as I stood in the lobby. The reservation came through the system quickly and I was soon shown to my room, the receptionist whispering that he had given me a delux suite on the way. I had free use of the small pool (didn’t have time unfortunately) and breakfast included in a separate building, which was one of the better ones.
The room was huge with a balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom was large with towel rails and plenty of space to put toiletries. The AC unit was by the door so it didn’t blow directly on me during the night and there was bottled water, a kettle, tv, fridge, safe and even bath robes. Utter luxury after the places I had been staying! No negative points at all.

I was here as part of a G Adventure Tour. The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly however, they did not really go out of their way to be helpful.
It was also somewhat centrally located. It was about a 10 minute walk to the night market. The other positive was the fact that there was a very inexpensive place to do laundry around the corner.
The cons …. I think they get a lot of tour group business and therefore, perhaps don’t really care. There are eight bicycles on display for guests to use. However, none of them work. They either have a flat tire, or the lock is broken. I was directed to a Guesthouse down the street to rent a bike for the day.
Breakfast is really hit and miss. If you happen to be there on a day where there are at least two tour groups, there is a wide variety of selection of both hot and cold breakfast foods. If you are on a day where it is only your group, then the options are quite limited. You have fruit, toast, and some kind of egg. They don’t mention it but you also can also order noodle soup.
On the last day that I was there, it was especially annoying, because the cook had made a wide variety of food for a photo shoot, but it was not available to eat. And the irony is these photos will be shown as what is available for breakfast, but it is not available for breakfast.
There is a pool, but there are no pool loungers. Nor will they provide you one if you ask.
I was asked to change my room, as it was reserved, but I ended up just changing hotels. I highly recommend the Grand Luangprabang. For an extra $20 you receive a magical experience on the bank of the Mekong river.

The hotel had only just opened, the rooms were spacious and the staff were attentive. The downside was that it was a 15 minute walk to town, and in this weather really doesn't help. Breakfast was available across the road in their restaurant it was basic, it appears that creativity is lacking, it was the same breakfast everyday. No variety whatsoever. It did have a pool which was very small and hidden away.

I would have given them a better rating, but we were with a tour group and one of the girls had dried a shirt on a couple towels and a little color bled to the towels. They charged her $40 USD for two towels in Laos. We just thought that it was a little excessive. These were not 5 star hotel towels either. Bad customer service IMO.

Treasure in an oasis of beauty. A stunning hotel, in a wonderful garden setting. Huge rooms, friendly, quiet and relaxing. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did in this stunning city and take a relaxing dip in the freezing cold waters of the pool!

What a great hotel!? Very luxurious rooms with all comforts. A swimming pool on the doorstep. On the outskirts of downtown Luang Prabang. With a separate building for a super breakfast across the street from the hotel. Lovely to stay longer

This place blew us out of the water. Beautiful property and everything went very smoothly. Huge rooms with balconies, quiet and reliable amenities. Basic breakfast but still worth the stay. Close enough to everything you want to see.

Very Clean and comfortable, lovely room, air conditioned. Nice balcony that overlooked the pool. No elevator, but that was fine. Breakfast came with our stay, it was across to another building. Fruit, coffee or tea, eggs and bread. Simple but filled the spot. Close to laundry services and a short walk to the night market where we enjoyed our supper. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Much appreciated.

Stayed here with an organised tour, it was slightly unexpected as we got upgraded for this section. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are incredible and I was greeted by two swan towels on the bed. The showers are amazing, very clean, great location and tops it off to be in paradise in Luang Prabang.

The rooms are huge, and so are the bathrooms. Well appointed and very comfortable with nice toiletries. The smallish pool was fresh and ice cold after a long hot day in the town. It's quite a long walk into town, but it's an easy walk along wide pavements. Breakfast is served at a building about 40 metres down the road and is adequate. You can order eggs and there's a great bean to cup coffee machine! They also operate a restaurant in town so you may see the staff everywhere, and they also provide transport services and much more.
The reception staff were all great, and one young man in particular, and I'm afraid I've forgotten his name, but they were all very helpful and friendly. You can get pool towels from them to take with to the waterfall.
I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel without hesitation. There are lots of mosquitoes, so keep your verandah door closed and bring bug spray.
