The location of this place is great with views of the rivers meeting, the food was very good as was the service. In summer there's a wooden bridge to cross to the temple on the other side. The views from the other side are also good.

We stayed at the Luang Prabang River Lodge Resort from October 8 until October 16, 2014. The resort is located just outside town in a natural and quiet area. The air-conditioned bungalows are comfortable, clean, spacious and have en-suite facilities with hot water shower, toilet and sink. The hotel gardens are well kept and all the staff are extremely helpful... More

The hotel is located in a very downtown area, walkable to the market, night market, Phusi Mount, the palace, the museum, and so on. And of course, next to the Kong River. As for the great location and its low pricing (50-60 USD), its rooms are quite small, about 16-20 sq.m. The bathroom has no bathtub nor dryer. If you... More

Fantastic location overlooking the Mekong. Short walk to the main street in Luang Prabang. Great air con and clean room. Hotel served breakfast but if you didnt want to eat there, there was plenty of places up the road. Dont expect much in terms of Wifi here or in Laos in general.

Our rooms faced the Mekong river so we had a great view . The French doors opened so we felt part of the outside life as well .Of course that meant early morning noise from the tut tuts plus the noise of life in the morning . This didn't really bother us at all . Our bed was comfortable ,... More

I booked a room for 3 nights and after the 2 day they kicked us out of the hotel to the other river lodge 2. Because they had a group of Thai people coming and they were full booking. Unbelievable!!! Never again would I even recommend this hotel to a friend!

This Lodge is a nice looking place, the room was fine, location good, staff fine as mentioned by others. I thought breakfast was OK, a bit above average for the region though at $50 a night there is better value elsewhere in Luang Prabang. The biggest negative was the noise as all the local Tuk Tuk drivers gather to eat... More

River lodge is a small hotel located on the road along the Mekong River, so for some rooms you can have river view. From the hotel, you can just walk to many of the city's main attractions ; Royal Palace Museum, Mount Phousi ( the highest point in the city ), some beautiful temples, night market walking street, etc. If...
