The Souphattra Hotel is located away from the busy center but only within a short 10 min bike ride. This hotel is fairly new (6 months) and still has a few kinks to work out but they are well on their way to becoming known as the best find in Luang Prabang. From the nicely situated rooms, clean and quiet pool, free use of bikes (with locks), tasty breakfast and wonderful staff. This hotel is an easy choice for a nice restful stay and ease of mind when planning any and all activities. My wife and had a very pleasant stay and we highly recommend this property. Thank you Mr.Chan and your staff for a memorable stay.

Although it was only a short stay of 2 nights and 3 days but we were impressed of the great services received. The staffs were super polite, friendly and attentive. The rooms were always sparkly cleaned, as the staffs always keep coming to cleab up as soon as we step away which is 3-4 times a day. On top of the great services mentioned, the hotel also provide FREE pick up and drop off to anywhere you want to go whether it is near or far upon request. So we used their service a lot and to be honest we have saved a lot of money. We have also checked that it is the service they also provide to the guests and not because it is low season this time.

The staff at Souphattra went out of their way to help me sort out internet and then find a gym. The hotel is new, very nicely styled and inviting. The location is a 5 minute tut-tut ride from the night market and the hotel has a free tut-tut shuttle that drops and picks up (till 9pm). It was peaceful and calming after a day of sightseeing.

This hotel is superb! From the moment you enter the hotel you really feel the warm welcome of all the staffs, they quickly serve you a fresh cold towels and a welcome drink and of course the smile on their faces. The room was amazing, they gave us a free upgrade to pool view room too! I love the hotel interiors! The shower is perfect! I really had a good sleep in their comfy bed and soft pillows. I like a lot of pillows in my bed and lucky they have tons of it! The lady who checked us in is really friendly, well explained all the room details and i really appreciate the late check out they gave us. Forgot to get their names though. The restaurant is our favorite! (Beside the pool of course) Their Buffalo burger was the bomb!!! I guanrantee you! Would love to come back here! We spent four days in Luang Prabang and stayed at this delightful hotel. It’s a boutique hotel on two floors, and is freshly decorated with great care in an old colonial style. Situated away from the main town, it’s a 10-15 minute walk to get to LP’s busy cafes and bars, which means the area around the hotel is nice and quiet. Most important of all, the staff could not be more helpful; suggestions for restaurants, suggested tours, even offering complimentary bicycles to use. Chan, the guest relations manager, was an absolute star and made sure we were taken care of all the time.

I choose Souphattra Hotel for our family trip after a long lockdown, I had no regrets at all. Everything was so nice, we were warmly welcomed by their super friendly and attentive staffs upon arrival at the airport until the check in.
We were very impressed with how beautiful the buildings are, so elegant and pretty. The hotel is not in the city center but but too far at all, you could easily walk to the city without sweat. The room is well designed and equipped with all the things you need.
The kids enjoyed swimming pool and of course French fries 🍟, and us enjoyed our cocktail by the pool 🍸🍸
Overall, we glad we picked this beautiful hotel and would highly recommend for your next trip in the heritage Luang Prabang

I recently stayed at the Souphattra Hotel in Luang Prabang, part of the same Lao Derm group as the Souphattra Heritage in Vientiane, where I previously had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the stay at the Luang Prabang property fell short of my expectations.
Location The hotel’s location is quite far from the city center, which means you’ll need to spend 60,000-80,000 LAK on transportation each way. While the hotel provides a complimentary tuk-tuk service, it’s only for getting to the center, not for the return trip.
Breakfast and Dining Breakfast is à la carte, and I noticed the ingredients weren’t as high-quality as what I experienced at their Vientiane property. The food simply didn’t live up to the standard I was expecting.
Facilities The pool area is spacious, but when I visited, it was littered with leaves and dirt, making it unappealing. I had to request that it be cleaned so I could swim. Once cleaned, it was fine, but it would have been better if it had been maintained more proactively.
Room The room itself was satisfactory, with all the necessary amenities. However, what stood out most during my stay was the lack of atmosphere. From the front desk to the F&B staff, there was an unwelcoming vibe that was difficult to put into words. It felt like something essential was missing—perhaps a sense of warmth or hospitality that would have made the stay more enjoyable.
Overall I would give this hotel a 4 out of 10, as I hope they will take this feedback and improve. There is potential here, but a few key areas need attention to create the kind of memorable experience that a hotel like this should offer.

If you want to stay in the best hotel in Luang Prabang, book a room at Souphattra Hotel! We’ve stayed at the hotel for 15 nights and really enjoyed each day here! From check-in to check-out, everything was amazing!
This is definitely one of the best maintained hotels in South East Asia, and we have stayed in many hotels! Everything is extremely clean and luxurious! The rooms are specious, extremely clean, provided with perfect beds, aircon and bathroom.
The entire staff is amazing as well. From breakfast to reception! The gardeners take care of a clean and maintained garden to relax, and the beautiful swimming pool makes it complete.
The distance to the city center; by (free) bicycle you will reach the night market in less than 10 minutes, but if you don’t want to cycle, a free shuttle service (provided by the hotel) will drop you off, and pick you up later on.
Breakfast is fully equipped with a buffet, as well “ a la carte”.
Summarized; the best place to stay when you want to visit Luang Prabang. We will definitely book a room again at Souphattra, when we come back to Luang Prabang.

Classy hotel. Very attentive staff who attended to all our needs. Special mention to managers Thongdy and Bong, supervisor Phong, head waiter Vanxay and Driver Vila. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Breakfast could have more options. Hotel location is unfortunately not that close to the Unesco city area, however hotel provided bicycles and Tuk Yuk free transportation.

we stayed two nights here. the people were very helpful and front of house staff spoke good English. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Thanks must go to Manager Thongdy and May and Phaeng for their help and attention. We were given a room at the front which seemed a bit noisy so they moved us into a garden room - helping with all the luggage. All rooms were very clean and tidy. The Restaurant service was slightly haphazard but charming all the same. The food was good and breakfasts outside were excellent - local food or part international. The swimming pool is very good. They have a Touk Touk service to take you back and forth to town although it is walkable if you wish. Book it in advance though. We loved Luang Prabang and wish to return and would certainly consider staying here again.
